Twisted are those who seduce.
Who play with hearts like puppets on a string.
Who use their words but their actions are no use.
Who lets heartbreak sting.
Who promises the land of milk and honey.
And all other finer things.
Pity for those who've dashed their knee.
against the rock of false promises.
With clipped wings.
Who've wanted to give love a try.
Who've gone through hell.
For a character who's falsely benign.
It's a story known far too well.
Of a seducer mad with power.
And a love spark gone sour.
