As many people interested in Rajaraja's reign and Kalki's Ponniyin Selvan (and the movies) know, his first queen, Kodumbalur princess Vanathi, died after the birth of their son, Madhuranthakan turned Rajendra Chozhan, leaving him a widower and single parent before his coronation. But when Arulmozhivarman ascended the Chozha throne as Rajaraja Chozhan, he did so with a queen, Lokamahadevi. This is a fictional interpretation of their story. Please note that though research has gone into this, this is by no means the completely true or accurate account of Rajaraja's love of/with his second wife. One of the changes in this version is that Arulmozhi never truly loved Vanathi, and married her only for his sister.
