The Champion

"Can I ask the princess for a dance?" the mysterious champion asked and held out a hand for Rhaenyra to take. She looked at his hand and then at his face, he had beautiful golden skin, dark shortcut hair, and when looking into his eyes, it was like looking into a stormy cloud. Smiling, she took his hand and let him lead her out onto the floor.

"My apologies princess, I believe I haven't introduced myself" the man said as he spun her around "the name's Kaegan, of House Santagar". Rhaenyra couldn't help but to look at him, Dornish men weren't so common in Kings Landing, the only one she knew was Criston, but this one was good-looking. "A pleasure to meet you" Rhaenyra said as the dance came to an end.

After the dance, Rhaenyra asked Kaegan if he would like to accompany her for a stroll in the garden. Rhaenyra needed some fresh air and some peace and quiet, two things she couldn't get by sitting at the head table. Men from all around Westeros had come up to her and told her how stunning she looked and afterward asked her for a dance, which she politely declined. She knew the only reason they said those words were for them to be considered fit when she someday would search for a husband. Her father had tried talking to her about marriage many times, but every time the subject came up, Rhaenyra would find a way to change the subject or talk her way out of it. Rhaenyra didn't like the idea of being stuck inside some fancy castle with a husband that only sought to carry on his legacy by squeezing out babies. What Rhaenyra sought in a husband was one who had the same mindset as her, one who would see Westeros and beyond with her, one who thought about things other than carrying on a legacy.

It had been a beautiful and warm day with no clouds as far as the eye could see, the sun had gone beyond the horizon and the moon had risen a few hours ago. You could see all the stars this night, and the full moon gave enough light to see all the beautiful flowers in the garden."So, how do you like Kings Landing so far?" Rhaenyra asked as they walked through the garden, Kaegan waited a few moments before answering "It s a lot different from what I'm used to I must say, princess, it is a lot more crowded here than in Spotswood, and more noisy. In Spotswood, you can hear the wind rustling in the trees, even when its a busy hour"

"Spotswood sounds peaceful" Rhaenyra said. She could only imagine how quiet it must be in Dorne, with buildings not built so close to each other as the farms outside of Kings Landing. Sometimes Rhaenyra would sit under the weirwood tree in the Red Keep imagining how her life would be if she wasn't born noble, if she wasn't a Targaryen. Would she live a peaceful and quiet life with a farmer for a husband, be a beggar, or something entirely different?

"It is princess" Kaegan said as he took a seat on a bench that overlooked the sea, "you should come to visit it someday, I'm sure you would like it"

Kaegan and Rhaenyra talked for an hour about nothing and everything before they agreed on heading back. The party had come no near an end, and inside the tent, men lay on the table too drunk to move. Her father hadn't moved an inch, but she guessed Baelon had been put to sleep as he was nowhere to be seen. This wasn't a place for a baby at this stage Rhaenyra thought as she looked around.

"It has been a pleasure meeting you Kaegan, but I must be heading back to my chamber, it has been a long day and the party has worn me out quite a bit" Rhaenyra said as she tried to hold back a yawn "The pleasure is all mine princess" Kaegan answered, took her hand in his and kissed it. She couldn't help but smile as she made her way back to her chambers.

As Rhaenyra was about to reach the oak doors that would lead her into her chambers, she heard voices in a corridor just around the corner. Rhaenyras curiosity got the best of her and she decided to peek around the corner to see who was talking, but when she saw who the voices belonged to she wished that she didn't. Around the corner, she saw Alicent and Criston completely lost in each other. Criston had his trousers below his knees while he held up Alicent whose dress had been pulled up. Rhaenyra realized that the voices she heard was the sound of Alicent moaning. They hadn't detected Rhaenyra standing there because Criston kept thrusting on intro Alicent. Shocked, Rhaenyra turned around again to let them do their thing in peace.

When Rhaenyra entered her chambers, she removed her dress and undergarment and went under the covers. She tried to find sleep but her mind was wandering, wandering to what she had just witnessed between Alicent and Criston, to Kaegan and somehow her mind wandered to the thought of her uncle. What was Daemon doing right now in the Stepstones, was he fighting, was he sleeping or was he maybe thinking of her right now as she was thinking of him? Rhaenyra knew her imagination was going places that it shouldn't, but she couldn't help it, she couldn't stop it.

Rhaenyras hand went down under the furs, between her legs, and had found the already swollen bundle of nerves between her flesh. Her finger started doing circular motions on the nub and soon she could feel the heat building up inside of her. It didn't take long for Rhaenyra to reach her climax and all the build up heat inside her came flowing through her body like a tsunami. She lay still for a moment before realizing that she just got off at the thought of her uncle, her father's brother, and her family. She knew that it was wrong, but no matter how wrong it was, it didn't bother her too much. Aegon the Conqueror married his two sisters, then why couldn't she think of her uncle?

With that thought in her mind, Rhaenyra turned around in the bed, and soon after she fell into a deep slumber.
