It was a regular school day for you. You woke up, got cleaned up and put on your college prep shirt. You were waiting for the bus to school when you saw her, "Her name is alyssa.. Right? I'm not good with names.." you thought to yourself. She was pretty popular. She was extremely smart, the step team captain, and was basically good at everything. Who could blame her, she was perfect. You were so lost in your thoughts that you didn't even realize that you were staring at her until she waved at you. Startled a bit, you awkwardly waved back. Your cheeks grew red a bit as the bus pulled up. pulling out your metro card, you got on the bus.

It was 6th period, you were so ready to go home. This math teacher was getting on your nerves, talking about partners. She gave out a big packet with the words ''STATE TEST PREP." hey, at least you were getting paired with someone to do this with so you got to share this suffering. Your teacher pulled out a my little pony cup with a bunch of popsicle sticks in it. on them your guess was each stick had a name on it. "Tianna with Katherine, Sherice with Mel, Anne and Paulana, and Alyssa with y/n." getting up you moved next to your partner. "Hiii y/n" "Uh hi, umm, alyssa..is it?" you felt nervous, realizing how close you were sitting next to her."Yep" as she popped the P at the end, you guys began to start on your work

As school ended, you were walking to the gate as you heard your name being called. You turned around and saw Alyssa running your way. When she finally caught up to you, you just awkwardly stood there. "Finally I was looking everywhere for you" she said while catching her breath. "We didn't get to finish the packet so you wanna come over to my place or should we crash at yours?" you were a bit surprised by the question, "oh, uh i think it's best if we go to mines, it's a bit closer anyways." you said as you turned away, trying to hide your flustered cheeks. "Fine with me, let buy some food on the way, i would have ate the chicken sandwich they had at lunch today if i didn't find a fucking cockroach in it." Alyssa said in one breath. "A what?!" still trying to grasp the information that has just been thrown in your face. "Don't worry about it y/n, i didn't eat that so called lunch. But let's get going I'm starving" she said while dragging you away from the gates
