The sun was setting over the ocean, painting the sky with brilliant shades of pink and orange. On the beach, two lovers sat side by side, their hands intertwined as they watched the waves roll in.
Alice and David had been in a long-distance relationship for over a year, and every moment together was precious to them. They had met online, drawn together by their shared love of literature and music, and had quickly discovered a deep connection.
Despite the distance between them, they made every effort to stay connected. They texted and called each other every day, sent care packages, and planned regular visits. But it was moments like this, with the salty breeze on their faces and the sand between their toes, that made everything worthwhile.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, Alice turned to David and whispered, "I wish we could stay like this forever."
David squeezed her hand and smiled. "Me too, but we'll make it work. Nothing can keep us apart."
