A story about 5 teenagers trying to get through high school together in the 1980s-90s, knowing they might not even make it. Heather, Red, Cash, Mike, and Jesse started off easy, but drama ends up possessing them.
I wake up to my mother screaming at me to get up, as usual. "You don't want it be the person that's late, on the first day I might add!" Yells my mother as she crosses her arms. "Mom..It'll be fine,..geez!" I say half awake and half dead muffling into my pillow. "Just get up, you only have 40 minutes to get ready, and to start walking." My mother says as she walks out to the kitchen to do whatever she desires. "Crazy cat lady..." I mumble to myself after she's out of reach to hear me. 'But seriously what's wrong with her? She has 13 cats not including the 1 that is mine, only one!' I think as I start putting on a dark green-ish jacket over a white tank top with some multicolor pants.

After putting on all of the actual clothing, I decided to wear my new jewelry I got over the summer. I slip on 3 bracelets, 2 necklaces, and hoop earrings. I honestly looked good, although my hair looks like I got struck by lightning. I fix up my hair but it looked so bad I had to just put it up in a ponytail with my hair flying everywhere. I normally take a shower every Monday, but I woke up late today so I couldn't. I slip on some socks and shoes before I start walking out downstairs. My mother is putting my bag on the counter and putting a water bottle in the side pocket, then she points at it to me gesturing to pick it up and start leaving. Before I walk out I say to my mother "Bye mama, see you after school." "Alright honey, have a nice day!" She says waving 'goodbye' to me.
Small time skip to 2nd period
I walk into 2nd period looking for my friends which weren't there yet because I ran to get the best seats, and normal seats we sit in that class, which was Math by the way. I see Cash walk in first. I've had a crush on him for a while, but I think he's into that popular bitch, Cassidy. Also I don't know that so I wouldn't know. "Hey, Cash Money!" I yell across the room gesturing him to sit. We sit in the normal seats we do which was me sitting at the first seat, Cash sitting across from me, Red and Jesse sitting across each other, and Mike on the side 'cause he's always late to class. "So how are you? I thought you moved to California forever!" Cash says placing his bag onto the ground next to the table. "Fuck, I did too I was there for 50 years." I say laughing at my own joke, as he did too. "Hey guys!" Yells Red to our table speed walking over to get her seat. Jesse and Mike are walking behind her. They get to their normal seats. "So how'd your guys' summer go?" Asks Mike referring to everyone. Of course Jesse starts, not like she's bad or annoying, she just loves and I mean LOVES to talk and interact with people. We talk about how our summers went and then we started started to get an assignment, already.
