The sounds of lectures dim
When zoning out is your common theme
The lines between realities are slim
Always slipping into a daydream
The joyous laughs and jokes of a party
When all the noise makes you want to scream
And the fiction within it all feels artsy
Wanting to slip into a daydream
The thunderous yells and crashing as dishes break
Hiding away as the tears begin to stream
Hugging your knees as you begin to shake
Wishing to slip into a daydream
The long nights listening to all the mess
All the things they didnt mean that slipped into the seam
The cracks in your walls filled with distress
The draining need to slip into a daydream
