3rd person POV

Just having finished with packing the last few boxes with all his belongings, Minho let out a sigh, only then realising that he had to leave his old house, his old room and just all in all his safe place behind. Inside of these walls he never had to hide who he truly was nor how he felt. But after having lived your whole life in the same place you simply have quiet a few attachments to the placed you called your home. To move into a different house, in a different place seemed unimaginable in Minho's eyes because he felt like he'd never be able to feel at home there. He hadn't seen their new house yet, but he already didn't like it, if he had been asked beforehand whether he would be okay with moving his answer would have definitely been no. The sole reason they were moving was because of his mother's job, just so that she wouldn't have to drive for way over an hour after having been promoted.

A small, sad smile made its way to Minho's face, while a stared at the box he last sealed. His small smile vanished though the moment the boy heard a knock on his door. Shortly after having turned around, he was met with his mum who was sticking her head inside of the room. "Did you finish packing yet? We still need to put all of that in the transporter so that we'll have enough time to put them into our new house later. Considering that it's already 6 o'clock we should get going soon cause the ride will take around one and a half hours." His mum stared rambling due to being stressed. Sighing once again he looked at his mum. "Yes, I just finished packing a few minutes ago. Could you help me carry down the boxes please?", he asked his mum turning a little shy while asking. His mother responded him through nodding her head and giving him a thumbs up. "Of course! The quicker we are, the quicker we'll be able to reach our destination and get a good rest."

Half an hour later the duo checked the whole house again for whether they left anything behind. In the process Minho went upstairs into his room to check it. Everything was empty and not a single trace left that could indicate that up until a few hours ago it was his room. The one thing left behind would be the memories they made in this place be it the happy or sad ones. "Minho are you coming?"; he heard his mum shouting from downstairs. Taking one last melancholic look around the room, he went to where his mum was waiting for him so she could shut the door and lock the house. Doing so when she saw her son next to her, Minho went ahead into the car zoning out, snapping out of it when his mum joined him. "Well then let's go!", Minho's mum said enthusiastically. Taking a glance at her son, when she started the car, it was obvious to her that her son's mood was more than low, and his excitement wasn't nearly as high as hers. So, she did the only thing that would give her son at least a little bit of comfort which was ruffling his hair and saying: "It will be ok. You'll get used to the new house in no time for sure and maybe you'll make some unexpected new friends at your new school." Not knowing what to answer his mum, Minho just stuck to the thought that humming would be sufficient as an answer for now.

Minho didn't even notice that he had fallen asleep till he was woken up by a hand that was shaking his shoulder carefully. "Hey dear we've arrived", his mum said in a hushed voice to not startle him any further. Still feeling sleepy, the black-haired boy rubbed his eyes in hopes to wake up enough to get heave himself out of the car. He luckily succeeded although he knew exactly that it would still take a while before he could greet his bed, considering the number of boxes left in the car. For what felt like the thousandth time that day the boy let out a sigh not being able to stop fantasizing about laying down in his bed, feeling the comfort of his warm, soft blanket and mattrass.

An eternity later his mum and him finished carrying the boxes into their house, some even already unpacked, and the items put into their place. "It's already late you should go to bed dear. Remember? You have a long day ahead of you tomorrow and you're finally joining your new school. I know it might be stressing you out but believe me it's not going to be as bad as you think.", Mrs. Lee tried encouraging her son. In his opinion it wouldn't be as bad as he thought but maybe worse. It's not that he necessarily didn't believe that he wouldn't make any friends at all, for him it was simply hard to approach someone since no one ever talked to him in his old school. "I'll get going then. Goodnight mum, love you", Minho said and went upstairs to his new room. "Goodnight, love you too", his mum said while he was already on the stairs. A small smile made its way to his face. He was truly grateful for his mums' encouraging words. Entering his room, he looked around it and he got ready to sleep. His current room was bigger than his old one, but it wasn't so spacious that it would make him feel uncomfortable, in fact it still had a relaxing and cosy vibe to him, he liked it.

Lying down in his bed he pulled his blanked up a bit reached a little over his elbows. Minho was lying on his back, staring up at his ceiling and thinking about the day. It was official now: they moved. He and his mum left their old house behind to live closer to her new workplace. It was a good thing because like this his mum wouldn't always be stressed out to leave at an ungodly hour just to make sure to arrive on time. The positive side effect was that Minho got to change schools. No more false rumours about him being mean or cold or any other story that somehow didn't manage to reach his ear that might have been floating around his previous school. The only thing that would most likely stay the same would be him having no friends due to him not talking to anyone, that wasn't a problem for him though. He enjoyed sitting alone having some peace and quiet from the other students which were in his opinion way to loud sometimes. Eventually getting his mind to settle down and closing his eyes, a wave of tiredness washed over him quickly and putting him to sleep almost instantly. The last thought on his mind was that small spark of hope that just maybe, maybe he'd manage to find some friends that were able to put up with his behaviour.
