-----Cristiano Santori-----

We approach the building on foot, not risking our cars giving our position away.

We have been searching for days, trying to track her location.

I can't forgive myself for letting this happen, not to her.

Matteo and Lucio follow close behind me as our men surround the building.

Marco knows we are coming, but we can do this the smart way and bombard him.

Our goal is not to kill him but to get Violet out safely.

Then we can deal with him.

Sweat drips from my hair as I silently count to three.

An explosion sounds as we rush in after our men into Marco Alessi's den.

We are unsure of the layout of the building so we all go one way. Another explosion sounds and we move forward past doors.

Men force open doors checking for any sign of Violet.

I am starting to become impatient, he knows we are here now. He could have a gun to her head right now.

Matteo and Lucio have not said much, we are all focused on one thing, her.

"We can go ahead to the north wing while they keep watch."

Lucio and Matteo look at each other before nodding and tipping off the others on our decision.

Lucio stands to my left gun pointed, and Matteo to my right.

We move fast, hall over hall, room after room, searching for any sign of her.

"You've found me!"

My blood runs cold after finally staring down the man who ended my father.

He is tall and built like me. His Spanish accent tightens my throat.

I grip my gun ready to kill him now.

Lucio pushes my gun back down giving me the not now look.

"Where is she?"

"Can't hand her over just yet, would ruin the fun."

I bar my teeth fighting to control my anger. Lucio is staring to lose the battle also.

"Especially since my doctor made a discovery this morning."

I move forward slowly closing the gap. I have to keep him talking if I want to find her quickly.

"What discovery?"

"You would be a father if you somehow make it out alive today."

We stop, one second, two,

Lucio looks down at his gun before tackling Marco.

The shot rings in my ear as I rush towards Marco for a kill shot.

It's a flash of fast movements, a loud bang, and crimson.

Marco Alessi has a hole in his forehead.

"Fuck, Lucio!"

I turn to find Matteo bent over Lucio. Crimson, just like Marco's blood.

A single shot to the stomach. Marco wanted it to hurt, too far off to be instant, too close for him to survive.

I grasp at his shirt trying to stop the bleeding.

"Cristiano, it's done."

I force back tears as I grab my brothers hand for the last time.

All the fights and harsh words come back.

"I'm sorry, brother."

He nods and looks at Matteo before finding my gaze again.

"Your going to be the best dad."

I cringe at his words.

"No, Lucio keep breathing."

I look back an forth, looking for our men or somebody.

"Go find Violet, I've got him."

I shake my head, tumbling back and reaching for my gun tossed aside on the floor.

I spit on Marco Alessi one last time before passing through the large double doors and to the only place she can be.
