"Okay?what is it?" Amari asked interested what the girl had to say

"There's a video that surfaced Instagram of him kissing another girl" Zariah mumbled quietly looking down

Amari felt her heart shatter into little tiny pieces, jed was there since EVERYTHING happened and when they started dating he made her feel a lot better. He even saved her from something that fucked up her head forever

•FLASHBACK•
"Let her go please!" Jed shouted as the boy held a gun to Amari's head "She's all I have!" he screamed again

"Just please let her go and I'll pay you!" Jed shouted desperately

The naked girl on the bed crying for help barely able to breath watched

"please.." his voice trailed off "I need her" he whined as he stepped up to the much taller boy

"be careful jed" Amari mumbled still crying

•END OF FLASHBACK•

"He said he was going to see his mom tho.." Amari put her hands on her head genuinely confused

"I'm so sorry." Zariah said bringing Amari into a bear hug

"Who's was the girl?"

"You know his ex girl? I think her name like makyla" Zariah shrugged not remembering the name "SHII WAIT I KNOW HER TIKTOK!" Zariah shouted after a little bit of silence

The girls was finished stalking the girl but Amari couldn't even be mad, the girl was mad pretty and Amari wasn't about to be a hating ass bitch.

Cause if the girl is pretty Amari is not about lie outta her ass and say she's not. No matter HOW mad she is.

But oh how upset was she, she felt sick to her stomach and wanted Zariah to go home so she can cry her eyes out, she wanted to get so high she wouldn't feel a thing.

And oh how upset would Mehki and mama Yoselin will be once they find out what the boy has done, all fire will be raised.

"Are you okay sis?" Zariah asked when she realized Amari was COMPLETELY silent

"yea I'm okay" Amari gave her a toothless smile

"DINNERS READY!" Amari's mom yelled as they ran out the room rushing to the food

"Do you want hard shell, soft shell, or taco salad?" Yoselin asked Zariah who was infront of Amari "1 hard shell and 1 soft shell please" Zariah smiled as she waited for her plate

"Okay Mari do you want-" her mom was cut off by Amari

"taco salad" Amari smiled waiting for her plate also

They all sat down around the dinner table saying grace

"mom what's wrong with Mari?" Mehki mumbled to his mom as they realized the girl was playing with her food not eating

"I don't know?" Yoselin said in a confused tone
"Baby, what's wrong?" Yoselin asked as she finally realized Amari's whole vibe was COMPLETELY off

"Nothing, I'm fine" she gave her a toothless smile  slightly

Yoselin KNEW in that moment something was wrong with her daughter. She could just tell "how's jed?" Momma asked setting her fork down grabbing a napkin

"he's alright." Amari answered quickly and quietly

"Is everything ok between y'all?" She put her hand on her chin

"Ye- if he did something to my sister ima beat his ass" Mehki answered finishing his tacos "cause ion fucking play about ha, it's ten toes deep about ha" Mehki shrugged throwing away his paper plate

"Amari please be honest if something happened, I don't want you to fall somewhere you don't wanna be again." Yoselin said picking up her fork once again as she ate her taco salad

"Okay Ma, I promise I will" Amari lied not wanting her mother to worry for her

After dinner zariah and Amari went to lay down for bed
