"Are you calling me a Great Dane?" Steve asked, raising eyebrow at the girl beneath him.

"Maybe. Maybe not. The world may never know.." Evangeline rolls her eyes.

The pair go into silence for awhile until Evangeline starts wiggle from underneath Steve. "Can you get off me now? It's kind of hard to breathe.."

"I can but I'm quite comfortable in this position." Steve spoke, until he saw that Evangeline was getting a bit red in the face. Steve stood up to be pushed down again the girl so they switched spots in the original position.

Steve was laying back on the couch while Evangeline sat cross-legged on his torso, grabbing the TV remote on the table beside them. "TV?"

"Sure, why not?" Steve said, shrugging his shoulders. The weight on his chest didn't phase the man at all, it filled him with a sense of comfort, knowing that he was still alive and breathing.

"What do you want to watch?" She asked while going onto the guide.

"I'm for anything, hon." Steve hoped that she didn't catch the name he called her.

Laughing to herself, Evangeline turned on On Demand and played SpongeBob. Hey, it's never wrong to turn into a child for a few hours. When Steve heard the theme of the show, he threw his head back, laughing at how childish the girl was. "Is there a problem, mister?" Evangeline looked back, still smiling at the man's cute laugh.

"No mam, not at all." He spoke, grinning back at the young girl while she got situated, making sure that they both could see the screen.

About halfway into their third episode, Natasha walked into the room and saw the pair on Evangeline's sofa in a heated argument about whether or not Squidward's hatred for Spongebob was reasonable. "It's pointless. All Spongebob has ever done is, be himself. Squidward is being a douche to him because he's jealous of the fun that Spongebob can have." Evangeline spoke, daring Steve to argue back.

"That's false and we both know it, hon. Spongebob is always interrupting Squidward's 'me' time and he never gets a break. Spongebob is always childish which always finds a way to harm Squid in the end."

Both of them were so focused in getting the other to back down that neither of them noticed the red haired woman standing there, slightly smiling at them. Staring each other down daring the other to speak, neither of them looked away when Natasha cleared her throat. "Alright, love birds. Start getting ready, Tony's planning a party. It's in an hour."

Before any of them could complain, Natasha left the room, closing the door on her way out. Evangeline and Steve looked to each other, "One more episode?"

"Of course." Steve grinned at the girl.

After getting dressed for the party and another episode of SpongeBob, Steve and Evangeline found themselves at the bottom of the staircase arm in arm. "About damn time fellows!" Tony yelled, obviously tipsy.

Evangeline looked around nervously, not recognizing anyone other than Avengers who grew to be like her family. "Steve! Rodgers! Hey there!" A darker skinned man yelled across the room, making his way to their direction.

"Hi Sam." Steve greeted the man tightening his grip around the smaller girl's arm.

"Steve, how are you? You been working out? Who's this pretty lady?" Sam asks before he notices the small girl clinging onto his much bigger friend.

"I've been good. This is Evangeline Barton. Evangeline, this is Sam." Steve introduced the two.

Evangeline gave a small smile, shaking the man's hand. "And how old are you? You should be pretty close in age since y'all seem pretty close." Sam winked at the pair, not knowing that Evangeline knew about Steve's real age.
