Marcy Wu, Chief Ranger of the Newtopian Night Guard, was strolling through the bustling streets of Newtopia, lost in deep thoughts. She looked down at the diary in her hand, flipping through the pages until she found the one she was looking for. It was a picture of her, Anne, and Sasha, all smiling and huddled together in a group hug. Marcy couldn't help but feel a pang of nostalgia as she looked at the picture. It had been a long time since they had all been together, and she missed her friends dearly. She couldn't help but wonder how her friends were doing, if they were well and happy.

She shook her head, trying to push the thoughts aside. She couldn't afford to dwell on the past. Marcy had a job to do, and she took it very seriously. As Chief Ranger of the Night Guard, it was her duty to protect the citizens of Newtopia from any threats that may arise. She only had the job for a few weeks now, but she was dang good at it. Mainly because she was just roleplaying as an artificer-rogue and everything seemed to go along with it.

Just as she was about to close her diary and focus on the task at hand, she tripped over a rock that was placed unfortunately, and stumbled into another guard. "Oof, sorry!" She immediately apologized, once she regained her composure, but soon realized that she made the guard trip and fall into another, and then another... Marcy watched in dismay and sorry, as the guards all stood up again, dusted themselves off and then looked angrily at Marcy.
"I'm sorry!" She yelled again as the guards turned around and went on with their way.

Marcy sighed. She wasn't going to sugarcoat it. She was a clumsy mess, without Anne or Sasha to keep an eye out for. Especially when she was in her flow. She knew that. But there wasn't really anything she could do about it. Changing this was hard, and so she just focused on what she was good at; being a role playing nerd!

Just as she was about to continue on her way a voice interrupted her thoughts. "Ah, just who I was looking for." Marcy turned around to see Lady Olivia standing before her, her expression unreadable. She wore her navy blue hair tied into a bun with a shell band and her clothes consisted of the same old purple and yellow taffeta dress with scale-like designs stitched into a pattern. She also wore white gloves. Marcy wondered If she ever wore anything else.

"Hello, Lady Olivia!" Marcy gave a little wave and put away her Journal. "What's up?"

"There is something Andrias wants you to see."

"What is it?" Marcy asked, excitement creeping into her voice.

Olivia gestured for Marcy to follow her, and the two of them began walking towards the dungeon. Marcy couldn't help but feel a little apprehensive. She had been in the dungeon before, of course, but it wasn't exactly her favorite place in the world.

As they descended the steps to the dungeon, Marcy tried to keep her nerves at bay. She didn't know what was waiting for her down there, but she trusted Olivia. The two of them had worked together some time now, and Marcy knew that Olivia was one of the most trustworthy people in Newtopia.

Once they reached the bottom, Olivia led Marcy to a cell and her eyes widened in surprise. Inside the cell was a figure slumped against the wall, their face hidden by the shadows.

"Who is this?" Yn could hear a voice ask, but he wasn't about to Look Up. Why should he? He was in a cell, and that was enough humiliation for the day. Maybe they would make it quick and just put him under the guillotine or whatever they do with people who associate with criminals around here.
