Today was ranpo first day to a new school he moved, since him and his sensie fukuzawa decided to move back on Yokohama, he didn't really think much of it and just went on with it, he woke up and get his things all ready, the school was a far way walk but he thought to himself that he will get used to it.
After all that walk he finally arrived in and ready to introduce himself

Teacher- " good morning class, I know this may be a random announcement,but from now there will be a new student that would be joining us from now so please welcome him "
Ranpo then stepped in for his moment
" Hello everyone,my name is edogawa ranpo and I'm 19, but call me Ranpo" students then started greating him " well then Ranpo you can sit right next with poe over there on the side " Ranpo looked over where the teacher point at and saw a cute tired looking boy busy reading some novels with him, he went up to where he was asked to sit " hello there, you must be poe!, I'm Ranpo" "h-hello" ranpo then took a sit but soon after a few hours through the class lesson he couldn't take it anymore and took out a few hidden snacks on his sleeves he then took another for his seat mate poe "this flavor is everything, you should really try it" poe stared at it for a moment but accept the kind offer from Ranpo " thank you so much, "
Soon after Ranpo heard someone try to call out for him " psst, that poe guy is a fucking fag, I almost feel sorry for you having to sit next to his weirdo ass " the three other people then started laughing out loud with the guy while Ranpo himself finally understands what's going on " class quiet down! " everyone then ofcourse quite down right after as the teacher continues her lesson

Time skip

Ranpo's pov

Right after the lesson I decided to go to my new locker which is very quite near on the males bathroom, I started putting my things till I overheard a conversation from the bathroom
" Listen here you bitch of a man, you either do what we fucking say or you know what's gonna fucking happen to you, messed up our shit again and we'll sure make you will never show ur fucking face here again " i then saw guys coming out so I had to act like nothing, I then went up to the bathroom and sense poe hiding one of the stalls, I then went up to the stall "what happened,are you okay? " to only get an answer
" just leave me alone, can't you see someone is here?" "those guys words are a sick to my stomach but Listen, you shouldn't let them slide into you like that if you want things to get over with, and by the way this is me you're seat mate"
Poe finally opened the stall and It seems like he had a bad scar on his arms so I offer him my oversize jacket to help him cover it up "I don't get it, why are you so kind to me"
"to be honest I have no reasons to treat you the same as they did to you, so interested to be friends? " He was low-key but he still akwardly accepted me and that's what I'm glad,
after school we prepare to pack our bags as I noticed my eyeglasses was missing, I began to look around until a guy went up to me from behind
" I think this might be yours" "thank you.." "by the way I'm dazai Osamu, also 19 you must be Ranpo " I then took my eyeglasses from his hand
" Ranpo edogawa, thanks for finding my eyeglasses" I started walking away,
But wasn't expecting him to follow me right away like a cat,
Dazai:" so you usually go home alone?" "It depends" I answered.
But he still follow me around and we had a great conversation for a while
As we walk out on the exit school gate, I guess I'm not walking alone on my first day, I then overheard a fighting sounds, I took a glance and saw poe with two guys and two girls,
one of the girls was recording and the two guys start threatening him harshly and tried to unbutton his uniform, as one of the guys offered a box cutter
I instantly approce them and ask what's going on
"well, let's just say this fucking idiot have the guts to mess up our homework we ask him to do, and now he must learn his fucking lesson" I took out a few money from my bag and give it to the bullies to leave,
"you see that , this guy just saved your fucking life hoe "
the four of the bullies then left and I took Poe's arms to get up and help him button back his uniform
" they went too far, and I guessed money is what will shut then up "

No one's pov

Poe sure didn't know what to say at that point, it felt like a dream to him that someone out there actually cared for him,ever since he moved in the school he always hoped for death, wishing it would come sooner

Poe began to stand up and thank ranpo once again, he sure was blessed someone like Ranpo would be there for him

Ranpo " wanna walk together just in case?" But Ranpo also turned around to check if dazai was still there but the brunnet already left
