She took one step into the building, closing the door behind her. Immediately regretting all her choices from before the break, Kate sighed.

"Here goes another 180 days of hell and torture before I graduate to receive a-" Fran interrupted her, "Good morning Kate! how was your break?"

The silence almost pierced through Kate's skin, "What do you want. I thought I made it clear that I never wanted to speak to you again, Fran.

Fran stayed silent, she took a deep breath, "I already asked a question!", "Well ask it again. Before I'm not interested in you anymore."

Fran smiled, "How was your break?" Kate uttered a fake, believable smile. "it was great, you don't get any satisfying details." Fran laughed at Kate's response, Kate stared at Fran's laughing face. She began to zone into Frans eyes.

Her eyes burned with friendliness, passion and patience. Kate began to think to herself: I'll give it a chance.

Kate's thoughts were then interrupted by the sudden noise of a locker slamming shut, a girl with green eyes and dark, bluish black hair appeared from behind the door.

"Fran! What are you doing speaking to her?!" She rushed over, almost tripping over her high heels in the process. Kate looked the girl up and down, she was relatively taller than Fran yet shorter than herself.

Frans laughter was cut short, " Oh! Miracle! Good morning, I was just greeting her no worries-", "Greeting doesn't mean laughing at whatever shit she's entertained you with!" Miracle grabbed Fran and whipped her away from Kate, Fran flashing an upset face at Kate.

Kate took a deep breath and began walking down the hallway.

varieties of different people all walked by her, some in small groups, big groups and even some were walking alone. One guy particularly caught her eye, a taller African American male, medium build with long curly hair and a scar running from his eye to his cheek.

The guy bumped into her, "Hey! Watch it. I'm walking here." The guy exclaimed, Kate scoffed, "what're you gonna do? You don't look like you fight much. I call your bluff." Kate turned back to see the guy staring at her, oddly smiling.

"My name is Zee, I know who you are though. You're Kate Buroski, the edgy girl who picks fights with Miracle." Kates eyes widened, stopping her in her tracks as the hallway cleared out all around them. She walked closer to him, grabbing his collar.

"Stay away from me punk. I'm not one to play games with." She released his collar suddenly, sending him catapulting into his normal posture.

Kate continued walking, making her way to class. Completely forgetting about her talk with Zee.
