It was a cold, snowy evening in the sleepy town of Gravity Falls, Oregon. The strong wooden walls of the cabin shielded you from the bitter winter as you prepared a warm meal for your boyfriend, Stanford Pines. He of course, wanted to take advantage of the snow storm,

"Who knows what may be out there this time of year? Yeti's, Snow Crows, you name it!" He kisses your hand, "I'll be home for dinner, I assure you."

Dinner however, was slow going. You decided on a hearty pot roast, with mushrooms you foraged the earlier in the day with Stanford. After a couple hours, you finally convinced him to let you prepare a meal for him. You loved him dearly, but if you ate another one of his burnt chicken breasts you were going to lose it. It made you happy to cook, it was something you'd spent years perfecting. You glanced at the clock

7:30

He should be back by now. Your heart beat quickened, what if he was lost? Or in danger? Although he was a strong man who survived countless years of turmoil in the multiverse, his age did give him a disadvantage. To distract yourself from your nervous thoughts, you decided to make a side salad to go along with your pot roast.

Ego was never quite your thing, but no one could deny your skills in the kitchen. You effortlessly chopped up a head of lettuce and tossed it into a wooden bowl. You threw in chopped up walnuts, sweet raisins, carrots, and a home made vinaigrette and tossed it flawlessly.

You heard the familiar creaking of the door you desperately needed to fix. In walked your beloved Stanford Pines, snow flakes tousled in his silver hair, cheeks rosy from the cold. You instantly made your way over to him, embracing him,

"Ford! You had me worried sick! The good news is the pot roast is should be ready any second." Stanford wrapped his strong arms around you, kissing the top of your head,
"Don't fret my sunshine, I am here and perfectly safe. I thought only if you the whole way back! Also, the food smells lovely!" You separated from the hug and smiled bashfully at your boyfriend. Despite being together for six months, he still made your heart flutter. You delicately place to hand on his shoulder, and went in for a kiss-

BRRRING

Unfortunately, your automatic timer thwarted your plan.

Taking Ford's hand, you led him into the kitchen. You turned off the timer and went to chop up the mushrooms. You felt Ford's strong, muscular arms wrap around your waist.  He leaned down, planting a sweet kiss on your cheek,

"They do say it is good luck to kiss the cook, and my girlfriend does have quite the kissable face..." you giggle, leaning your cheek into his,
"You're so sweet, I love you so much."
"I love you too my dear."
Stanford took your face in his hands. His gentle blue eyes studied each detail as if he was reading a novel. His rough fingers delicately held your face, and he then bridged the gap.
Kissing Stanford Pines was unlike anything you'd ever known. Sure, you've kissed him hundreds of times before, but each time a wave of indescribable love hit you. He never kissed you out of lust, rather he'd kiss you to make it known how much he cared for you. This time was no different.

Stanford pulled away, now holding your hands in his,
"I don't know about you, but I'm famished. I'll plate up the roast and salads for us to eat."
You smiled, and sat down at the table. Stanford sat at the seat across from you, placing the dinner at your respective places
"So, Ford tell me about your hike!! Any new creatures?" Ford lit up,
"Why yes! There was this huge snow monster..." You listened carefully as your boyfriend rambled on about his encounter with a snow bear. Soon enough the conversation took a turn
"You know Stanford, they say baking is a science. I'd like to challenge you to a bake off! If you're alright with it if course."
"Ooh a little romantic competition! Sounds like a perfect end to a perfect day, " Ford raised his eye brow mischievously, "but the real question is what does the winner get?"
"Hmm..." you thought for a moment, then it hit you, "the winner gets to chose what we do after the competition. I've been wanting to force you to watch Ghostbusters."
"I think that's a splendid prize, you'll just have to see what I have up my sleeve when I win!" Ford pulled a fully apron out of his trench coat pocket, placing the jacket on the back of his chair. He rolled up his sleeves, revealing his forearms. You blushed and coughed into your hand.
This man was just so effortlessly attractive. You pulled out your cell phone and turned to the timer app.
"Well... erg- okay we have 45 minutes starting NOW!!"
