"Just look at the dresses in here" Deauville walks to Sophie "Ah. You found it" she opened it "Just look at the embossing." "Who's S.G.E?.?" Deauville looked at the book "Not who, what. The School for Good and Evil." she looks at Sophie in shock "Dont tell me you've never heard of it." "Where is it?" I say "No one knows. Another time, another world- But legend has it, it's where the true story behind every great fairy tale begins." "Ooh" Aggie says "The School for Good trains the Heroes. The School for Evil, the Villains. Or so they say."
"The people in insane asylums you mean." Aggie says"I wouldn't be so sure of that!"
"20 years ago, a girl named Leonora was taken from our village- under a blood-red sky. Many believe the school wanted her for some reason" "What happened to her?" "No one knows- She was never heard from again" Agatha scoffs and Sophie piped up "That'd be one way to get out of this town. Do they ever accept new students?" Me and Aggie look at Sophie with shock and confusion "You're joking, right?" Sophie hesitates "Yeah."
TIME SKIP
"Oh, I hate my stepmother!" "Whoa, Whoa. What?" Aggie and I say "There's an opening at the factory where she works, so she's making me quit school to bring in more money" "So we will quit too. Can she get us a job there with you" Aggie talks for us both "And then what? we just fade into this town like everyone else? No, guys. My mom said i'm supposed to do something important, something that matters. So, I'm leaving tonight." "
Wait, Sophie..." Aggie began "You've never even set foot outside Gavaldon. You don't even know what's out there." I said "None of us really do." Aggie finished "Thats the point. You know nothing can ever happen for me as long as i'm stuck here. I cant settle for an ordinary life. I won't." Sophie began walking away and Aggie and I looked at each other.
Sophie sat down and Aggie and I joined her, we sat on each side of her, i looked at Sophie but Aggie stared at her bag "Hey, look." she began to pull something out. That something being the crown she made for Sophie when they had first met. "Remember?" "Oh!" "Yeah, I found it in my attic last week." Aggie and Sophie smiled. I started to smile too "See? You already did do something that matters." "The day you became our friend" Aggie finished, smiling at us both.
"Please, we can't handle this place without you. I'll talk to your mom and dad, and i'll tell them how unfair this is. I'll call you Queen Sophie of Gavaldon." I stood up too "So will i" "I will even let you give me a makeover. Just please don't go" "Okay." "You promise?" I said "I promise" "Oh, thank you!" we hugged Sophie.
We all headed to our own places. I quickly went home and straight upstairs to grab my notebook, and ran back out, waving to my mother once more before leaving.
backstory time 💪
I wasn't really born here in Galvadon, I was born somewhere completely different, although i don't know where. But what i do know is that my mother and i were forced to flee our old place due to a fire. A fire that spread throughout the whole town, killing most civilians including my dad and brother. I was only 6 when this happened. I barely made it out too, i wouldn't have made it if it wasn't for my mother, who was brave enough to grab me and run, causing her to be burnt severely. We were hospitalized the day after and brought to Gavaldon, where i met Sophie and Aggie.
Sophie and Aggie were already friends by the time they met me, but we became an unbreakable trio afterwards. When i first arrived at town, mother and I were practically homeless, we had money- just no place yet. Mother told me i could explore the town a little bit, but to come back to the stalls immediately after.
I listened to her and went off somewhere. I found the two girls under the wishing tree, and they introduced themselves. From then on we hit it off.
But i still haven't told them my story.
