10. The Reunion

When no one answered she walked forward and faced Eret. "I will check into his mind if he allows me to. If he and his friends have any intentions to kill us then I will allow the council to deal with them. If they are innocent, we will wipe their minds and send them and their dragons straight home."

"All in favor of letting her check the man raise your hand." Said one of the other women. All four women and two of them men raised their hands. "All against it?" The two men who had spoken earlier raised their hands.

"Then it has been decided." The cloaked woman said and turned to Eret. "Do I have your permission sir?"

"Umm, yes you do. Go ahead I have nothing to hide." He answered.

He felt something familiar brush against his conscious and allowed the woman to examine his memories and touch his thoughts. When the memory of Kierra and him with their newborn baby surfaced for a moment, the woman retreated from his mind. Eret stumbled back from the withdrawal and looked at the woman in shock. She stepped forward towards him into the light, removing her hood and took the cloak off and dropping it revealing herself.

She had long black hair, tanned skin, bright blue eyes, small pink lips, and a slim but muscled figure. She wore a dark blue shirt, a long leather skirt that had a slit on the right, dark leather boots with fur, a small grey fur cover over her shoulders, leather armbands, and a necklace that had several small dragon teeth and a large blue stone in the middle. Eret gasped as he saw her face, instantly recognizing who she was. Then he stepped forward into the light and the woman gave a soft gasp.

"Eret?" She whispered. Eret smiled softly and walked up to her. She stood there in front of him and took his face into her hands.

"Hello Kierra." He said with a smile.

"Is it really you Eret? After all these years... we thought you were dead." Kierra said, her voice cracking slightly.

"It really is me Kierra. And I thought you were dead too." He said taking both her hands in his.

"I hope I'm not dreaming." She said looking down at the ground.

"This isn't a dream. But if it was, it feels too real." Eret said, then he pulled her into a hug. He felt Kierra stiffen before she relaxed and hugged him back tightly as tears began to fall down her face.

"I'm so glad you're alive. We missed you terribly. We were all so worried that Drago killed you." She said sobbing a bit.

"I thought the same thing when we went to go find you."

"Well I'm alive and well and so is our son. He's grown up so much."

"Is he here with you? How much has he grown? Does he know anything about me? What does he look like now?"

"Slow down with the questions Eret. Yes our son is here and he knows so much about you thanks to me and our friends and as for how he looks you have to see for yourself. Would you like to meet him?"

"Of course I would! That would be perfect! Oh and before I forget I wish to introduce the people who 'kidnapped' me." He said turning to his friends."

"That's Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the Third, the chief of Berk and the dragon master; that's his fiancee Astrid Hofferson the shield maiden of Berk; Snotlout Jorgensen Hiccup's cousin; Fishlegs Ingermen our dragon expert; and Ruffnut and Tuffnut Thornston the troublemakers of the village."

"Hi." They said waving. Kierra smiled and bowed.

"I am Kierra, chief of the White Dragon Clan, only living descendent of Roran Stronghammer and Eragon Shadeslayer, wielder of the blade that is mixed, and killer of the tyrant Queen Dervania."

"Wow." muttered Snotlout.

"That's a big title." Astrid whispered to Hiccup.

"Well I earned the titles for my actions. And anyways follow me. I'll be showing you my village and show you everything that makes me much different than all the past women Eret had ever met." She said gesturing them to follow.

"Believe me Kierra, I had and never will meet another woman like you even in another life."

"That's sweet of you my dear. Oh and allow me to introduce you to my friends. Gale Steelfist of the Mountain Wolves Clan, Flora of Elsmeria, Loan of Surda and Alch the Urgal. These are the best and finest of any of the warriors of my village, closest companions, and best dragon riders we have." They all shook hands and exchanged a few words of greeting.

"May the stars watch over you Shurgurtals." Flora said touching two fingers to her lips to them.

"What did she call us?" Astrid asked confused.

"It means dragon rider in the ancient language. You all have much to learn." Kierra replied with a chuckle and motioned for them to follow. "Come, you have much to see."
