"Raine, you don't have to talk about it..." Eda told them, reaching her hand to their face.
"It's fine..." they reassured her, taking her hand and placing it on their cheek. Tears formed in their eyes. "I don't think we'd be able to reach her."
"She can hear us! I know it!" Hooty snapped out, "I know I can get through to her! I just need to get close enough and if Belos attacks me, I'll just eat him."
"No." Raine shook their head. "Whatever you do, don't let him get inside." Still holding Eda's hand, they felt it shaking. Who could blame her for not being comfortable talking about the possession? And no one could blame them for it either...
"We might have to force him out. Make the body not habitable for him," Camila suggested.
"And it goes back to killing," Darius commented.
"Not necessarily," Camila replied, "in Cosmic Frontier when O'Bailey and Commander Drizzle from an ally ship were infected by the Erin Wood parasite, they were exposed to heat and cold respectively to get rid of it. Would your magic be able to do that?"
"Mine and Darius' magic is limited, but maybe the glyphs could be enough," Raine thought.
"There are fire and ice glyphs," Eda remembered, "not sure if they're strong enough and we can't make a new glyph combo for this cause Lily is the one who's good at them and- Wait! That's it!" She quickly reached into her hair and pulled out a blue pen with a pink diamond. "I've got an idea." She clicked the pen, causing the diamond to light up.
Belos proceeded to punch the ice, cracking it with each hit.
"Come out, Evelyn!" he yelled and broke the wall.
As soon as the wall was down, Darius in his abomination form charged forward, holding a sword in his hand. Raine flew up on Mike Socks, holding their violin, while Eda and Camila rode Owlbert beside them with Hooty on Eda's back. The human was clasping Eda's shoulders, terrified of falling.
Belos smirked to himself and reached his gooey arm toward Eda. The goo was cut off by Darius, but once he came in contact with Belos, the green slime grabbed him, fusing into the abomination. Darius took advantage of that and tried to pull Belos out of Lilith. Belos decided to counter this, consuming Darius' abomination body.
"Do you really wanna try this, Lilith?" Darius mocked her, "don't forget who always won the tug of war at school." His face cringed in pain as the dark green goop started to spread.
Seeing this, Raine played their violin, sending soundwaves to slash Belos' goop, freeing Darius.
"I had it under control," Darius snarled at them.
"Sure you did." Raine looked at him with a smug expression as they hopped off Mike Socks. They then turned their attention to Belos, but something happened...
With just one look into those glowing blue eyes, they froze, their face turning pale. Their head began to ache, their stomach was twisting in all sorts of ways, and their brain could only think of one thing... How they failed to fight back. How they hurt people they cared about and almost killed Eda.
The goop shot right at them and before they could react, they were surrounded by it, getting consumed by the substance. They attempted to whistle in hopes of changing the blob's consistency or at least knocking the witch hunter off, however, as soon as they opened their mouth they tasted something strong and bitter inside. The taste was so intense and new to them that they felt like they were about to throw up.
Darius cut the goop away from Lilith's body and had small abominations merge with the pile consuming Raine, taking over it, and forcing it off the bard.
