"Couldn't sleep?" She asked when she felt their arms around her.
"We thought you needed some company tonight, Mama." It was Red.
"Aysus! Thank you then for accompanying me tonight." She kissed their foreheads and scooped them in her arms. "Good night, my loves."
"Good night, Mama."
The same routine goes the next day. She dropped off the kids to the school and headed straight to her new workplace. Anna was already there when she arrived.
"Meron akong hindi natapos na report kahapon kaya inagahan ko today."
Billy took the seat across Anna's desk. She was an hour early for the day.
"Sasama ka ba mamaya? May lakad ang dept natin. Dinner out."
"Pass muna ako. Camp with the fam."
"Camp with?"
Billy and Anna jolted when Natasha suddenly showed up.
"Good morning, Ma'am."
"Good morning. Did you ready my things for today's shoot?"
Billy nodded.
"Good. Then let's go."
And just that, Billy's day started. She realized that models and artists job is really hard. They had to fake smiles and pretend they're okay. It's a pretty pretentious job.
Hours went by and it was already five in the afternoon. Billy had told Natasha that she would be going out early and she allowed her only after they finish the shoot.
But it seems like the shoot wouldn't be done so soon. Natasha was still ogling at her photo. Billy didn't want to be rude but her twins were already waiting for her. She promised to be home at five so they could hit the road early.
"Ma'am? Excuse me po."
Natasha looked up to her but they were interrupted by the photographer. He told them they needed to resume the shoot so Billy had no choice but to wait.
Thirty minutes has passed and finally the shoot has ended.
Billy immediately went to Natasha. "Ma'am, sorry but I really need to go."
"Okay. I promised to let you go after we finish the shoot. See you on monday."
"Thank you, Ma'am." Billy then excused herself and dashed out to her car.
It took her about twenty minutes to get home and Red and Rex were already dressed and ready to go when she arrived.
Rex even complained because she was late. But his excitement overpowered it immediately when she told them they'd be going.
The ride to Tagaytay took them two and a half hour. They left their things in their room first and went to the hotel's restaurant to eat dinner.
"Mama, you always order veggie. You know we don't like veggie." Rex complained when the waiter put down their food. It's just a lettuce.
"And how many times did Mama told you two to eat veggies?"
Rex only pouted.
"Mama? Pwede ako kumuha ng cupcake? Ayon oh?" Red pointed the table at the end of the room. On top of it were a plate of cupcakes.
"Okay. Get three, one for me and Rex."
"Okay, Mama."
"Rex. Eat that. You know that won't work to me." Billy warned when Rex separated all the greens from his plate.
"Mama.."
"Eat."
Rex had no choice but to eat it halfheartedly.
"Aray!"
Billy turned around when she heard Red's voice. She ran to him and helped him to stand.
"Okay ka lang, anak?"
"Billy?"
Billy's breath hitched up when he heard her name from the man who bumped with her son. So slowly, she looked up to see his face and she was not mistaken when she saw the owner the voice she just heard.
"Lukas?"
