"What? I'm sure there's cash in it. Please try it again."

The cashier swiped her card again and it got declined.

She let out an exasperated sigh and reached for her other card. The same error prompted.

"What's happenening?"

"Hindi ko po alam, Ma'am. Pwede niyo pong tawagan yong banko niyo."

"Damn it." She hissed. She didn't brought cash with her because she's used in using cards only. "Sandali lang." she reached for her phone and dialed the bank.

"Hello? Yes, this is Billion Sanchez. I have a concern. Yes. I can't use my credit and debit cards. How's that?"

The bank personnel told her all her accounts has been blocked. His ex-husband requested to block all her cards and his cards that are with her.

"That son of a bitch." she cursed in whisper but the man at the back still heard it though. He was not intentionally evesdropping but he happened to hear everything. He knew she had no cash with her. And for some reason, even if she's a total stranger to him, he beleived her.

"It's okay. I'll pay for the guitar. Let her take it." he told the cashier, handing him his card. "You should go. Di ba pupuntahan mo pa ang anak mo? Baka malate ka." he said.

"Nakakahiya man but I can't possibly reject your offer right now. Give me your contact number or account number and I'll send the payment there."

"It's okay. I'll get to you somehow. Umalis ka na. Your son needs the guitar."

Out of joy, she grabbed the mans hand and gave it a light squeezed as she thanked him repeatedly.

"Thank you talaga." she then let go of his hand and picked up the guitar. "Thank you." she said once again and left the store.

She thought she has been very lucky, but she was not. When she got out of the store the taxi that she rode earlier was gone. The security told her a pregnant woman was rushed to the hospital and she needed a ride. She had no choice but to haile another cab. But the big problem was that the security told her taxis aren't that too many on the area.

"I swear, I'll kill you David." she cursed her husband's name over and over again.

She was almost in tears when the man she met and who helped her saw her on the street desperately waiting for a cab.

"Stop. Umatras ka kaunti." he told his driver. He rolled down his window to confirm that it was really her. And it's her. Their eyes met and they held their gazes for a couple of seconds before he offered her a ride.

"God. I don't know how to thank you. Tatanawin kong malaking utang na loob itong ginawa mo. But i don't want to waste any more of your time. Pwede niyo na akong ibaba doon sa kantong 'yon. Magta-taxi na lang ako."

"It is imposible to find a taxi here. This place is very secluded didn't you know? Carlo? Gaano kalala ang traffic? How long will it take us to get to her destination?"

"Sir, may banggaan daw po sa kabilang kanto, siguro po mga magiisang oras."

"What? Hindi na ako aabot. My son's show will start in 30 minutes."

"Mama won't be here." Rex mumbled while watching his brother nervously fidgeting his hands.

"Don't say that. She said she will. And she will." Mina assured the child.

"Dad told us the same thing, auntie. But he never came." At a young age, Rex already knew what has happening to their parents from the very beginning.

Billy never once break her promises. Well except her vows to her ex-husband. But when she tells you she will, she will definitely.

All the people around the place stopped when they heard the sound of an helicopter landing not so far from where the show was being held. Then just like a scene from a movie, the helicopter's door swung to open and Billy went down, throwing one last glance at the handsome man who did not just gave her the parking space, paid for the guitar, let her ride with him, and offered his private helicopter just so she could attend to her son's show on time.

"Thank you!" she yelled so he could hear her.

"With pleasure." He smiled and waved his hand to her before he closed the door.**
