"What if I want you to do something?" Tawn whispered. Her eyes stayed on his lips before flickering up to his bright yellow eyes.
Jake groaned when he noticed the expression she had on her face. It was very alluring that he felt his heart beat faster inside his chest and desire stirring in his stomach. Jake shook his head. No she needed to rest.
"Eat Tawn, or do you want me to feed you?" he said, pushing her bowl closer to her.
Tawn huffed and pouted before turning away from Jake, grabbing the bowl and eating her food.
Jake could hear her grumble to herself quietly, making him laugh at her cuteness.
"Tawn, you didn't sleep tonight, didn't you?" Jake asked her.
Tawn sighed, not wanting to look or even reply to him. She scooped the content to her mouth to avoid answering his question.
"Tawn, you can't do this to yourself," Jake sighed, "I know you are still hurt by what happened that day, but you shouldn't take it too seriously."
Tawn stiffened at what he said. He unknowingly confirmed what she had been trying to deny. She was overly sensitive, overthinking what Lo'ak said over and over again.
She nodded, "I know I'm being too sensitive again, stupid me," she hissed at herself.
Jake lowered his bowl and scooted closer towards her, "Tawn, that's not what I meant."
"No, Jake it's okay. I know, I should've forgotten every word he said when you told me you wouldn't leave me. It's my fault. Eywa wired me to be this emotional. I mean, it could get annoying sometime, so I unde—"
"Tawn, no," he stopped before she fell deeper into that hole. He grabbed her shoulders with his hands, "No, there's nothing wrong with how you are," he convinced her, "I shouldn't say that to you. I shouldn't cast aside your feelings," he apologised, "but Tawn you need to know you are harming yourself by not taking care of you, and it hurts to see you like this."
Tawn bit her lip to keep the whimpers in. Watching Jake's face scrunch up in worry made her feel guilty, "I'm sorry, Jake," she whispered, lowering her head down.
Jake shook his head. He lifted her chin, "From now on, I don't want you to apologise for your feelings. I was being inconsiderate, and I shouldn't have said that to you," Jake said firmly.
Tawn nodded.
"I'll talk to Lo'ak about this, but he seems to avoid me after that day," Jake sighed, leaning his head down to her chest.
Tawn's hands wrapped around his head, placing her head on his, "I heard how you scolded him from Neteyam," she pointed out, "you shouldn't be too hard on your sons, didn't you remember what I said to you?"
Jake smiled, hearing her scolding tone. He made her feel better. Jake hummed, "yes, but I was worried for him and you too."
"Sometimes you could be harsh to your boys, and you need to work on that before it's too late."
Jake nodded. He pulled away from her and peeked over her shoulders, checking if she had finished her breakfast.
"You finished your breakfast, good girl," he praised.
Tawn's cheeks warmed at the praise, "yes, I did."
"Let's get you to rest," he said, pulling her to him and carrying her to her sleeping rug.
Tawn squealed at him and giggled, "Jake, I can walk."
Jake shrugged, "yeah, but I want to hold you," he flirted, winking his eyes.
