To Forget and To Forgive

Learning something from life is easy, the difficult part is the way we apply it to ourselves. Lahat tayo ay may kaniya-kaniyang pinagdadaanan sa buhay, a life full of challenges and surprises. Buhay na ang tingin ng iba ay sumpa at ang iba naman ay biyaya, it just the way how we live and see it. Hindi naman ito perpekto, it'll never be perfect the way you sometimes imagined it. There's always the downfall part na patatatagin tayo at the end of the day through experiencing difficult and sometimes hurtful and devastating situations that actually give us the lessons and realization in life.

Sabi nga, life goes on, don't let yourself be stock on your past especially the one that broke you inside. Free yourself from the hurtful memories, you deserves to live the better life you can always have.

"I'm kind of nervous." I kind of whispered it.

"To what?" Lim asked me seriously.

Nandito kami ngayon sa sala sa kaniyang condo waiting for his dad to arrive.

"I… I actually ain't sure, bro. I-It just I can't predict kung anong babalikan ko sa Pampanga or I am just overthinking this thing?" I said, a bit paranoid.

"Okay dude, calm down, calm your mind. I understand, after more than 3 fucking years of living far from your life in Pampanga, and considering the past before that accident of yours happened. Kahit ako, mapapaisip ba ako if anong magiging reaksyon ng mga taong babalikan ko, kung tatanggapin naba nila ako o ano." Lim explained seriously.

Months had passed easily. Nakaraang buwan ko pa pinaplanong bumalik na sa Pampanga at magpakita na sa aking pamilya at mga kaibigan. Thinking that I became stronger and independent in life, I have my education and profession. I actually ready myself for this purpose. Ngayong malapit na ang disyembre, sigurado na akong itutuloy ko ang plinano ko months ago.

"Thanks bro. Do you think I'm totally ready for it?" I asked.

He chuckled a bit. "Do you, Sir?" He asked back kaya napatingin at napaisip ako sa kaniya.

Kung sabagay, higit sa lahat, ako ang makakapagsabi if handa naba ako o hindi.

"I think so. I mean, matagal konadin pinag-isipan ito. Plinano." I said.

"Yun naman pala, if you're ready, I and my dad will support you." He said, giving me a smile. Napangiti din ako sa sinabi niya.

"Pero hi-" I stopped speaking when I heard the sound of Lim's condos' doorbell. "I think its your dad, Lim" I said. He nodded bago siya tumayo.

"You're right. His here." Lim said pagkabalik. Madali akong tumayo ng mamataan kona sa likuran niya ang kaniyang ama.

"Good evening po, Tito." I greeted as Mr. Fredrick noticed my presence.

He smiled. "Good evening, Jack." He greeted back.

"How's your trip, dad?" Lim asked, standing in his father right side.

"Let me seat first, son, and can you please get me some glass of water." Tito Fred spoke as he also seated in one sofa.

"Okay, wait dad. Kukuha lang ako sa kitchen."  At umalis na si Lim para kumuha ng tubig.

Ako naman ay umupo narin sa katabing sofa kung saan nakaupo si Tito Fred. His way too formal dahil sa suot niya, well his an Attorney.

"I heard from Lim, your planning to go back in Pampanga this coming month?" Tito Fred while fixing his thing.
