The next day arrives, Evan wakes up with a jolt. He is in the middle of the woods, ''Sunrise'' he says to himself as he looks at the orange yellow colored sky. He gets up and starts walking in the direction he sees the bridge in, he gets home and he hears his alarm go off, ''At least I'll get to school, should I tell Jessie about this?'' he thinks. Evan gets a terrible headache but gets ready for school anyway, he lays on his bed thinking about what happened. 'Do I even want to go to school?' he thinks before falling asleep.

Meanwhile Jessie is woken up by his alarm. He knows he has to get up. Usually he didn't mind too much because this means he gets to study all those dark things again but this morning he knew his punishment was waiting for him. 'Let's get it over with' he thinks. Jessie heads downstairs after taking a shower and getting dressed. His mom welcomes him to breakfast. ''So why were you out so late?'' she asks him. Jessie gulps, ''well you see, me and a friend made a bet.'' He starts while thinking to himself: 'is Evan considered my friend? Do I want to call him my friend?', ''I lost so I am not saying what it is'' He finishes making his dad laugh. ''Don't worry, I wouldn't either'' his father replies making everyone laugh. Their fun morning is interrupted by the school bus. Jessie says goodbye to his parents and makes a run before he misses it. At school everyone looks at him with anticipation. ''Evan won'' he sighs. Some people cheer and some people look at Jessie telling him he tried his best. He wasn't lying when he thought it was quite a fun experience. Of course people asked about what the bet was, but he told them it wasn't their business.

Jessie does get suspicious when the winner doesn't show up to school all morning. So during lunch he goes to Evans friend group. ''Hey, have you guys seen Evan today?'' Jessie asks them, ''Nope, he didn't call in sick either, we hoped you would know'' Adam replies. Adam was probably Evans closest friend, they had been friends the longest, they were very protective over each other. Adam had brown hair and a left brown eye and a right green eye and slightly tanned skin. Their conversation is interrupted when Evan walks into the cafeteria, he gets applause from everybody. ''Sorry I overslept, I got too busy celebrating last night.'' He lies while smirking at Jessie and ignoring the applause he gets. ''Yeah right'' Oliver says, ''You look like a ghost!''. His other friends nod in agreement including Jessie.

''Maybe you should call in sick anyway?'' Evan hears from Adam.

''I'll be ok A'', he tried to reason with him. He wasn't convinced but he knew how stubborn Evan could be. Before anyone could say anything else the bell rung and they headed to class, Evan still had a terrible headache but he ignored it. Well attempted to anyway. In class, his headache only got worse by the minute. He then decides he should check what is going on. He gets excused to go to the bathroom and checks in the mirror only to see two small pointy things sticking out from between his hair. ''What the...'' he says to himself silently. He tries to touch it but it only makes things hurt more. He then feels somethings in his pants. He feels it wiggle around like a snake. To check it out he enters one of the stalls and pull his pants leg up just a little bit, he sees a small black tip poking out. He then pulls his pants down completely and holds back a scream.

It's a tail, he has, a tail. Freaking out now, he starts to think of his options. Options, what options did he have. He had to get out of there. 'Should I tell Jessie about this?' he thinks to himself once again, 'Maybe after his punishment'. He pulls his pants up hiding the tail. After that he put his hood on and goes to his car.

Like most teenagers Evan drives a (red) Honda Civic. He drives home but he sees his mother is there. How was he going to explain this? ''Hey mom last night I went to a demonic bridge, went full idiot and cursed at whatever we were talking to for about 2 to 3 hours, I got attacked by terrifying things. I woke up this morning in the middle of the woods, I oh so smartly ignored what happened and went to school where I found out I have a FUCKING TAIL.'' He starts explaining to himself before reminding himself ''Oh right, mom is a non-believer and a security guard at a mental hospital. She will just tackle me to the ground asking what drugs I took.'' Evan takes one last glance to the house and speeds off. He then remembers the bridge, maybe he will find some answers there!
