We all make mistakes in our lives. You will always try to do what is best for yourself, without trying to hurt, abandon or disappoint anyone. But just because we try doesn't mean it will work out the way we want. Because everyone has their own vision on perfection they want to bring to reality, hurting, abandoning and disappointing seems to have

''The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing, is a quote by who?'' Miss Grumm asked her class. About three students raised their hands, she pointed to one of the boys in the second row. ''Edmund Burke?'' He answers, unsure of his answer, ''correct'' She says. ''Now what does the quote mean, Mr. Sanders?'', a brown-haired boy with glasses and blue eyes, wearing a green sweater looks up from his book. ''Uhm... it means that if good people don't do anything, the bad people will have a guaranteed win. They wouldn't have to do much for it either''. ''Very good, please show that you pay attention more in class next time Jessie. This isn't your first warning''.

After that the bell rang and it was time for lunch, Jessie walked to the cafeteria to meet with his friend Maggie. She was a girl that liked having fun and getting out there. She had a ton of friends but usually stuck with Jessie. They had been friends since they were little and was very protective of him since he didn't really have any friends of his own.

Jessie arrived at the cafeteria and saw her sitting with her friends, she had long straight black hair and green eyes, she was wearing cargo pants and a white top. She had piercings on both ears that go from all the way of the top to the bottom. Jessie sat down next to her reading his book again.

''Reading as usual?'' one of Maggie's friends asks making an attempt on talking to him, ''what is it about? It doesn't seem to really have a cover or a title for that matter.'' She asked him eyeing the dark gray almost black book laying on the table. ''I doubt you'd like it.'' He answers, ''oh c'mon give it a shot.'' Maggie says encouraging him to make more friends. ''It's about dark magic, demons and a lot of other dark and evil stuff.'' They just looked at him with big eyes when one of the girls asks him: ''Aren't you religious? What do your parents think of this?''. ''He isn't but he keeps it from them and studies it at the library and at school. His dad is a doctor while his mom is a scientist, plus his parents are non-believers, so no, he isn't religious. Not even in upbringing'' Maggie answers for him to which Jessie nods. They continue the conversation for a bit, talking about why he is interested in this stuff and wants to learn it so bad, until the bell rings for the next class.

Their next class is chemistry and science, the two classes were given at the same time by the same teacher. Jessie walks into class and goes to his seat. In chemistry class he sits next to Evan. A very chill guy that likes causing mischief. He was his lab partner too, his grades were average, so Jessie was ok with it. ''you know none of that stuff is real, right?'' he whisper asks while the teacher starts class. ''what?'' Jessie asks confused, they don't usually talk unless it's for lab stuff or projects. ''You know? spirits, demons, ghosts, all that stuff you talked about in the cafeteria, I was sitting at the table next to yours. By the way, It's just some made up stuff to scare people.'' Evan explains. Jessie tries to explain to him that it is real, ''just because you don't see it doesn't mean it's not there is incorrect, it's because you don't believe that you don't see it.'' Jessie tells him. ''So you have seen demons and spirits?'', ''well no, but...''. Jessie is at a loss and says they should just pay attention in class.

The teacher talks about a project that everyone is supposed to do with their lab partner. They didn't care all that much since they worked on plenty of them together. The class worked on the project until class ended. For Jessie and Evan it was their last class of the day, so they agreed to go to the library to continue working on the project. At the library they did a lot of the work and were close to finishing it, but it was getting late and it was almost time for dinner. ''Want to stay, finish the project and grab something on the way home? It's better to just get it over with.'' Evan suggests. Jessie agrees and sends his mom a text saying he is making a project and will eat something on the way home. To which his mother replies with a simple 'okay'. Evan just texted his mother he won't eat at home and his mother send him a thumbs up emoji.
