The beginning

Chapter 8

We chatted some more and Florence and Hailee introduced me once again to the others which we also had a small talk with. I look over at Lizzie and see her and Scarlett watching me close. Weird. I look back quickly focussing on the conversation the others are having. They left after a few minutes which made us go back to the little group we started with. Lizzie wanted to ask me something but I quickly cut her off before she was even able to say something. "I'm also heading out. The girls are picking me up and arrive every second now. It's been a pleasure meeting all of you and I really had a good time! Thank you for making me feel welcomed." I smiled and grabbed my bag. We all hugged goodbye and Lizzie squeezes my hand 3 times before looking over her shoulder and back at me. "I'll walk you out Amelia. It's pretty big here and I'm not sure if the girls are able to pick you up here due security" she says watching me like a hawk. Fuck I forgot. Mentally slapping myself I chuckle "Stupid me. I should've thought about that. Mads is probably going to kill me. I hope Ashley at least will help me hide." I giggle. They all look up at me before smirking. What the hell did I do this time "Ashley huh" Sebastian says smirking. Oh fuck. Oh god damn. She is going to kill me. "Okay uhm now I might get killed by the both of them" I say rubbing the back of my neck. "So the famous Hollywood couple is back together after 7 months huh?" Hailee says smirking. Florence nudges her side but is smirking as well before she looks me up and down "Well who blames her. If I were Ashley I wouldn't even let her go in the first place" she smirks at me. "Indeed Pugh, indeed." Hailee says. Gulping and blushing I chuckle "Very funny you guys. But yeah we are kind of seeing each other again but please don't tell anyone we are taking it slow. It was a bit of a mess but we're trying to make it better" I tell them. I glance over at Florence and see her expression slowly filling with anger? Why would she be angry? Hailee scoffs and looks pissed. What's up with them. "Thank you once again for today and we will talk soon?" I ask hugging them in meanwhile. "Sure" they both replied with a quick smile. As if someone stabs me with a knife. I look down feeling the tension in the air. Sebastian hugs me close "They're not mad at you. They can get protective real quick of someone in the family. Talk to them after you got home they'll tell you." he whispers in my ear. Scarlett joins Lizzie's side and I look up at her confused. "Oh you didn't think I'd let Lizzie go back alone now would you? Miss here gets lost easily" she says with a smug smile. Grabbing my arm softly she walks me closer to the door. "Oh come on it happened one time!" we hear Lizzie saying and we laugh.

"So, Lia. Are you gonna say what happened back there?" Lizzie asks me carefully. I stop walking and look at the both of them. "That's the only reason you're walking me out, isn't it?" I narrow my eyes trying to get a read of their actions. Not sure why I'm upset about it I try to shake it off. "No, well, maybe? We just want to check up on you. It looked like something was bothering you." Scarlett says with a soft tone. I hum and start walking again. Every single thought is going through my head and it's giving me a huge headache. I really need to get a grip on this stupid shit. Or I should just go out. That actually sounds very good. I feel a soft tap on my arm and look at the person who's been tapping me, Lizzie. "Nothing was bothering me. I just got startled that's all. What can I say, I'd be the first one that gets killed in a horror movie" I chuckle. We exit the building and I see the girls talking with the guard and showing things on their phone. "They're okay. They need to pick up this one" Scarlett raises her voice and points at me. Not being able to handle anymore triggers I flinch and look over at Madison with tear in my eyes. She notices and runs over to me. "Lia, look at me. Please look at me" she says with the softest tone ever. I slowly look up at her. "Can I touch you?" she asks me carefully. Trying my hardest to remain eye contact I slowly nod. Mads wraps her arms around me and holds me tight. Only know I notice I had trouble breathing and it feels like I can't breathe. I push her off and walk away to the car and start scratching my chest and giving it punches here and there, hoping to get a hold of it. Before I can do anything else someone taps my arm a few times. They bring me down slowly next to the car to sit down. "You're okay. You're safe. You're next to the car sitting down on the ground. Try to focus on my breathing. I'm gonna hold your hand and place it on my chest." they grab my hand carefully and put it against their chest. Slowly I feel their breathing and I try my hardest to focus on it. Someone is next to me but before I can panic I hear the calming voice of my best friend. "Lia, breathe. In and out. You're okay." she says while holding my other hand. I lunge myself forward in her grip and start shaking. Burying my head in the crook of her neck and gripping her sweater so tight that I almost feel numb. She rubs my back carefully saying sweet nothings in my ear and before I know it all went black.
