Rick x Morty (the Poison)

The reason part 2

hey guys sorry I didn't update like i said i would.

3rd POV

"N-now what do y-you want to talk about...there really isn't anything you can say..." -Morty

rick sits on the end of the bed and looks at morty until he finally talks

"Morty, I didn't mean to say that. I didn't mean it." -Rick

"Well y-you said it a-anyways, why would y-you say s-something l-like that?" -Morty

"It was an excuse for you not to help. It wasn't true.." -Rick

"T-thats really m-messed up..." -morty

"I know I just don't need your help to make it that's all" -Rick

"Well y-you could of j-just said t-that, i-idiot..." -Morty

Rick nods as he gets up to leave to go back to work on the poison

Rick's POV

I couldn't tell him the truth about it I just couldn't. It would break me to say it.

As I walk out I turn a little to see morty watching me leave with a look I couldn't explain, so I left and closed the door behind me

As soon as I walk down the stairs I was bombarded with questions but I didn't answer any of them as I walk back to the garage. I started to work on the poison again.

*10 mins later*

3rd POV

As Rick was working morty walked in and sat in the extra chair and just watches Rick work. Rick didn't see morty walk in.

Rick looked over to grab something and say morty sitting there and just looked at him. Morty saw Rick staring at him.

"S-sorry I just w-wanted to w-watch you w-work" -morty

Rick seemed please with Morty's answer so he turned back to his work. Morty looked at Rick the whole time he never turned to the poison once. Morty turned to look at the poison after a little while since he was curious.

"Eyes on me morty.." -Rick

As morty heard this he turned back to Rick to see him still looking at the poison which just confused him on how he knew but the way Rick said it made morty blush a little. Morty could feel it, and he hoped it wasn't that noticeable.

*sometime later after Rick was done with the poison*

Cliffhanger! Also sorry again for not updating I'll try to update more. Hope yall like it I didn't know what Rick would say but I'm happy with what I came up with in the end. Anyways see ya next time!
