Jake nodded at the answer, "I have a brother, a twin brother," he started.
Tawn looked at him, surprised, "where is he?"
Jake smiled scornfully, "he died. He was supposed to be here, not me," Jake sighed, looking down at his avatar body, "this may sound weird, but this," he gestured to his body, "this wasn't supposed to be mine, it was supposed to be Tommy's, but because he died in a robbery I took his place and now here I am," he finished, peaking at her reaction.
"What is robbery?" Tawn asked cocking her head to the side.
"it's when people steal something valuable to you with the use of a weapon as an intimidation tactic," he explained.
"That's sad," Tawn frowned. Jake had lost so much already, and yet he still stood strong, "I'm glad you're here, Jake, I'm glad you're the one coming here," Tawn smiled gratefully, reaching for his hand to hold.
Jake chuckled, "I almost went home, but then I stayed for Neytiri," he smiled fondly at the memory. He then shifted his gaze towards the woman beside him who couldn't look him in the eye, "and I'm glad I stayed and as horrible as this may sound, I'm also glad I'm here, with you."
Tawn quickly looked at his face. What was he trying to say?
"Tawn, I know you're in love with someone else, so I feel the need to say this," Jake breathed in and out a few times, trying to calm his racing heart, "I'm so grateful that Eywa sent you to the children and me and let me feel these things with you," he said, holding her face in his hands.
"What things, Jake?" she whispered.
"These feelings, that were buried when Neytiri died, came to the surface again, and this time it was more intense, it was more beautiful than the last time," Jake then rested his forehead against hers, "I wanted to say that I have feelings for you and I know you don't feel the same bu—"
Jake stopped when Tawn launched herself to him, hugging him tightly.
"No, Jake, you got it all wrong. That man that I was talking about is you," she whispered in his neck, "Oel ngati kameie, ma Yawne," she whispered with tears in her eyes. This doesn't feel real. This felt like her dreams. Was she dreaming?
Jake wrapped his arms around the girl and tightened his hold on her, pushing Tawn onto his lap, "oel ngati kameie, ma Txe'lan," he smiled against her hair.
It was perfect to the very last detail. Tawn was elated. She was ecstatic that the man she loved, loved her back. The feeling of being romantically loved was nothing she had ever felt before, and it felt warm and comforting. It felt safe and inviting. It felt different from her sister's love. She felt like she was stronger now with him beside her.
As she said before, she would gladly lay her life for his family.
"Oh sweetheart, don't cry. I never meant to make you cry," he cooed, stroking her hair.
"I'm so happy, my love, I really am," she whispered, nuzzling deeper into his neck, "please just hold onto me for a while longer before we return." She whispered.
Jake nodded and did what she said, "should we tell the others?"
Tawn's breath hitched. Should they? But their relationship was still so young that she didn't want to ruin it by telling everyone about them. Tawn shrugged, "what do you think?"
Jake hummed. The vibration comforted her whole being, "I wanted my kids to know about us. They've been pestering me to ask you out for some time now," he confessed.
Tawn straightened herself up, sitting nose to nose with Jake, "really?"
Jake smiled fondly at her, gently tucking a piece of hair away from her face, "yes, they love you already," he smiled, placing his hand on either side of her cheeks, "do you want to go now? It's almost night time," he asked, caressing her cheeks with his thumbs.
Tawn nodded, "yes, please," she smiled.
Jake kissed her forehead before getting up, "let's go, sweetheart."
That night they left with flowers blooming inside their chest, ignorant of the future, the only thing they allowed themselves to feel was each other.

This one is so long. Not a spoiler or anything, but the next chapter is even longer, LOL. Like I said, it's going to be a long ride.
Anyways, I'm sorry for any errors cause my eyes are so heavy right now. All I want to do is sleep while watching The Resident.
I love writing fluff for Jake and Tawn; if you haven't already noticed, my writings will expose my hopeless romantic trait to the world. I have a very high standard of men, and I project that to Jake Sully or any male character I wrote about.
Anyways, see ya later!
