25. Feelings

Veronica had filled the cart with various items she deemed necessary. Tons of clothes, records, room decor, you name it. But they also made sure to stock up on food and various snacks.

Stu stayed with her the entire time, Billy was nowhere to be seen.

They wandered around the store and found Billy near the electronics.

"You stay here," Stu said. "I gotta go take a piss." Veronica laughed aloud and stood near Billy.

He was looking through VHS tapes. Veronica walked closer and looked through the tapes beside him.

He avoided looking at her and picked out a few tapes, adding them to the cart.

Veronica swallowed thickly, "Billy... It wasn't what it looked like... I swear... I..."

He ignored her and said nothing, he began pushing the cart and she followed behind him, embarrassed.

He remained silent the entire time, not bothering to even look her way. Her feelings were hurt, but so were his...

They ran into Stu near the register. Billy paid for it all with a card.

Stu looked at the recite. "Damn girl, you are expensive..." He laughed.

Veronica giggled softly, "Oops."

They all took the same places inside the van and drove around for another half an hour.

They soon stopped once again. Stu opened the back of the van and helped Veronica out and once again she held onto him for support. Infuriating Billy even more.

This time they entered a small restaurant. Surprisingly it was pretty packed.

They were seated quickly.

Billy sat on one side of the booth, Stu and Veronica on the other.

The waiter came and they all ordered. Billy got a burger and fries, Stu got hot wings, Veronica also got a burger and fries.

Their food soon arrived after minutes of awkward silence. Immediately they all dug in.

Veronica didn't notice, but Billy closely watched her eat, making sure that she hadn't developed any sort of problem over the last year.

"Damn," Stu said, slurping the rest of his soda, "Veronica will you be a pal and go refill my soda while I go take a shit? This hot sauce went right through me, man."

"Ew! Dude, I don't need to hear that... Just excuse yourself and go, man. But yeah, I can do that for you, I guess..."

Stu got up and ran towards the bathroom, earning a chuckle from Veronica who grabbed his cup and walked over to the soda machine.

Veronica was half-way done filling Stu's glass when a guy appeared, he looked to be around her age.

"Hey," He said, "You're awfully pretty..."

Veronica smiled, "Thanks... You're not so bad yourself."

He took a step closer to her, "Say, you uh... you single?" His hand grazed her cut.

Veronica winced looked around nervously, "Um... Yeah...?"

"So am I..." His hand slid down her back, "I don't see many girls like you around here... you look like you could be naughty..."

Veronica tried to back away, "I'm not really interested... So..."

"Oh come on, what do you say I take you back to my place and we can... hangout~" The guy's hand tightly squeezed her ass, but was quickly thrown off as Billy appeared in front of her and shoved the man.
