Zovi, on the other hand, couldn't keep his glare from Jake. He watched him like a predator checking his prey, "Yeah, I'm ready," he said, finally taking his eyes off Jake, "Tawn, you look pretty," he said, smiling.
Tawn smiled at the man, "thank you, Zovi," she nodded.
"Shall we go, lady Tawn'kiri?" he asked, still side-eyeing Jake.
Tawn nodded, "yea, sure," she then looked at Jake, "see you around, Jake," Tawn waved.
Tawn and Zovi walked towards the water. When they were waist deep, both of them called for their ilus. "So, you and Toruk Makto seem close," he said as they waited for the ilus.
Tawn raised her eyebrows at the man, "uh yea, sure, I've been helping him with errands and other things," she explained.
Zovi hummed, mounting his ilu, "what's your tulkun's name?"
Tawn smiled, "Neya," she said. They slowly ride their ilu side by side, "wait, are you from around here?"
Zovi shook his head, "nope, but I did lose my spirit, brother, at the payakan incident."
Tawn looked at him, surprised. She couldn't imagine losing her spirit sister. She would've never recovered from that, "I'm so sorry, Zovi, the good thing is he's with eywa now," she assured him.
Zovi shrugged, "I'm healed now; I'm sure I'd meet him again," he smirked at the girl.
Tawn smiled, "Come, I'll introduce you to Neya," she prepared herself on her ilu before her ride dived down and swam through the water quickly.
She turned back to see Zovi not far behind her with a slight smile on his face. Seeing the tulkuns and their families brought joy to her heart. She loved the reunion between the people and the tulkun. She grinned and urged her ilu to go faster. Tawn and her ilu danced around the tulkuns and the families. She noticed, Aonung and Neteyam chasing each other, a family introducing their newborn to the tulkun, and her sister congratulating Roa on her new calf.
She looked back again but saw no one behind her. She slowed down and looked around for Zovi, but he was nowhere near her. She huffed bubbles into the water and kept going to find her spirit sister. When she saw Taniya beside Tsireya's spirit sister, she turned her ilu around and swam towards Taniya.
She disconnected her kuru from the ilu and swam towards a happy Neya, she signed her greetings to her spirit sister.
Tawn told the tulkun about everything that happened in her life ever since the tulkun's departure, sparing no details about anything, and her spirit sister was listening and giving her advice about her problems.
Neya, I found someone that made me feel the way I always longed for.
Congratulations, sister. Where is this person? I want to meet them.
He's not here. He's with his family.
I want to meet him soon.
Tawn nodded and decided to play around with Taneya. She swam to one of her fins and held onto it.
She grinned at her. They enjoyed their time together until Tawn saw Zovi with Pxango and his family. Tawn didn't want to interrupt him and his family, so they continued roaming around, leaving him behind, but she'd talk to him later.
They were aimlessly wandering around until she noticed Jake, Tawn motioned Neya to Jake, she wanted to introduce Jake to her spirit sister. When Jake finally locked eyes with Tawn, he couldn't help the smile coming to his face, and it widened when he saw her spirit sister.
