valentine noelle chang probably wasn't your average teenager that you would always see walking the hallways of martian society high. she had shoulder length 3c hair, a petite body frame build, only coming up to a height of about 5'3, and wore just enough make-up to cover up her beauty marks.
maybe that's what notti liked about her. maybe it was her unique sense of style, or her need to put everybody else's need before her own, it might've even been the cluelessness that flowed through her words.
either way notti didn't know. the boy had no idea as to why he had been strung up on the same girl for almost 5 years.
valentine was raised by her single mother who gave the girl whatever she wanted. they lived in the suburbs of harlem, it only being a small family of 3 in a 5 bedroom house. she was taught to have morals and not fit into what everybody else was trying.
she was also taught how to fight at a very young age, so many people knew not to try her. valentine found her own way.
now valentine was going into her junior year, still not understanding how appreciated she really is. now stuck in everybody else's problems, but nobody helping her own, valentine gets stuck in her own head trying to find herself.
