What was a short discussion about which movie to watch soon became a long argument about which movie was better.

"No! You dumb-fuck! The Lost Boys is arguably the hottest scary movie ever!" Veronica exclaimed, taking another drink from her beer.

"Wrong! Anything with Jamie Lee Curtis!" Randy shouted.

Veronica groaned and stood up, walking over to Stu who was by the door, saying goodbye to his guests.

"Hey, Stu?" She said,

"Yeah, what's up?" He smiled.

"You know where Tate is?"

"No idea, I haven't seen her in a while."

Veronica sighed and looked down at her feet.

Just then there was yell from the doorway and Billy popped into view. Veronica jumped with a gasp, "Jesus..."

Billy froze when he saw Veronica.

His eyes flickered all over her body, she looked drop-dead gorgeous. Scars and all.

"V- Veronica..." He murmured.

"Hi, Billy..." She said shyly.

"C'mon in, Billy-boy." Stu yanked the brunette inside.

Veronica and him were face to face. So close that she could feel his breath against her face, her heart felt like it was beating out of her chest. Right then she wanted to throw herself at him, but she couldn't be sure he felt the same way. What if he rejected her in front of everyone?

Veronica snapped out of her gaze and back up, chuckling nervously. "I- I'm gonna go get a drink..." She said, Billy noticed the slight slur in her words. It became clear to him she was a few beers deep.

"Wait," He grabbed onto her wrist. She turned around to face him.

"Maybe hold off for a sec?" He suggested.

She gave him a weird look and walked into the kitchen, digging around for anything. Billy watched as she looked around, he sighed and walked outside. Veronica found a bottle of tequila, "This'll do." She shrugged and brought the whole bottle into the living room.

11:47pm

Veronica hiccuped as she watched Michael Meyer's stab his victims. "This isn't even scary." She sighed.

"Shh!" Randy put a finger to his lips, "Here comes another one!"

Teenagers complained and others looked away squeamishly. Veronica got up and walked outside as roon as Randy began to go on about the "set of rules" you have to follow to survive in a slasher.

As Veronica stepped foot onto Stu's front porch, she looked down and found a pack of cigarettes, she picked them up and pulled one out. Curious to try one.

She walked over to Billy who leaned against the railing, "You got a lighter?" She asked.

He turned to look at her, he grabbed the cigarette from her hands and tossed it into the bushes, "Don't smoke. It'll harm your lungs."

Veronica groaned, "You're no fun."

"You got that right." He chuckled breathily. He gingerly wrapped his arm around her shoulders. "You look pretty in red..."

She looked up at him, "You think so?"

He nodded, "Absolutely."

Her face turned a slight shade of pink, "Thanks..." She leaned into him.

"Why are you out here all alone? You should come and watch the movie with us. It's not as fun without you there..." Veronica looked up at him.

He shrugged, "Not much of a people person."
