Tawn shuddered at that, "Neteyam, please don't be a skxawng. I'm older than you," she reprimanded.

"not that old," Neteyam shrugged.

Tawn looked at him strangely, "this is so not you, Neteyam. Where is the brooding Neteyam?" Tawn teased, jokingly poking at his face.

Neteyam slapped her hand away from his face, hissing playfully. Tawn giggled at his playful side.

"Yumm, what is that smell," Lo'ak suddenly exclaimed.

Tawn grinned at him and clapped her hands, "it's almost ready," she said excitedly.

Lo'ak grinned, hovering over the steamed pot.

"Lo'ak, please get away from that. I don't want to eat your saliva," Neteyam groaned.

Lo'ak rolled his eyes at his older brother. He went to grab bowls and utensils with the help of little Tuk and passed them to Tawn.

Tawn smiled at Lo'ak and began scooping the soup into the bowl and giving it to Lo'ak and Neteyam. Then she called for Tuk and handed her her portion. Tawn looked at Jake and Kiri, who were still huddling in Kiri's corner. She sighed, took their plates, and walked towards the father and daughter.

"Hey guys, here, Jake you need to eat something," she reprimanded, "here Kiri for you," she smiled sweetly and handed Kiri the soup.

Tawn then placed her hand on Kiri's forehead, checking for his fever, "I'm fine, Tawn," Kiri groaned.

Tawn smiled at her, "well, I need to be sure about that."

"Tawn, where's your food?" Jake asked, noticing the lack of a bowl in her hand.

"Don't worry about it," she assured the concerned Jake. She returned to sit with Tuk, Neteyam and Lo'ak and grabbed some meal for her too.

During her meal, Tawn listened to Lo'ak and Tuk's stories about the forest. In most of those stories, she noticed that Neteyam wasn't there, or even if he was there, he acted as a guard protecting them from any dangers. She smiled at the responsible older brother. He tried to live up to her father's and the clan's expectations of him.

"It was Lo'ak and Spider's fault. If they didn't insist we stayed there, they wouldn't've seen us," Tuk defended herself, sticking her tongue out to Lo'ak.

They were in the middle of telling her the story about the new and improved demon. They now could shapeshift into a Na'vi? That was scary and unsettling.

"Well, Lo'ak if you followed your father's warning, none of this could've happened," Tawn shrugged, coming into Tuk's defence.

Lo'ak groaned, "not you too, Tawn, I thought we had a connection," he pouted and scooped the soup into his mouth.

"We had, but you ruined it," Tawn teased, earning a giggle from Tuk and a chuckle from Neteyam, "I'll always come to Tuk's aid," she cooed.

"Tawnie and I are best friends now," Tuk grinned, "I'm going to be like her when I grow up!"

"Whoa, whoa, who's talking about growing up?" Jake joined in their conversation, carrying two empty bowls.

"Tuk is not sharing Tawn with the rest of us, dad," Lo'ak joked, giving his bowl to his dad.

Jake looked at Tawn and then back at Lo'ak's hand as if to say 'are you seeing this kid?' the disrespect was strong in this one. Tawn covered her giggle with a slight cough.

"I wanted to be like Tawn when I grow up, dad," Tuk said enthusiastically.

Tawn looked at Jake apologetically, but Jake was amused with all of it. "Whatever you say Tuk," he said.

Tawn looked down at her bowl when the family bantered. she enjoyed watching them banter, it made her happy and warm. However, it was all gone in a blink of an eye when a sudden wave of guilt and dread washed over her.

She shouldn't be here. She shouldn't be caught up in their banter. She wasnt a family, this wasn't supposed to be hers no matter how much she wanted it. Tawn bit her lip, contemplating what she would do next. She sighed and stood up, placing her bowl in the basin.

"I should go," Tawn said to Jake.

"Why?" Jake asked, secretly reading her body language, wanting to know what was wrong. He noted that she was fine before, so he was confused why she wanted to go all of a sudden.

"I need to go see Ronal," Tawn said.

Jake looked even more confused, "okay?"

"Tell the kids, I'll see them soon," Tawn said, stealthily slipping out of his hut.

She was falling so hard for Jake, she was in love with him. Oh my Eywa, why did she have to fall in love with someone that would never feel the same?

---

Woah,

I'm not exaggerating but writing this scene was so hard. Anyways, what do you think of this chapter? I, personally, really love this chapter, it's in my top five. Just because I love how Jake's family accepts her and subconsciously sees her as someone important enough to take care of sick Kiri. I really want a Jake Sully in my life, really he's just so baby girl. But I also want Recom!Miles Quaritch in my life cause he's so Lana del rey coded, I'm in love.

Oh and I couldn't remember if Lo'ak was in the Kiri fainting scene or not. Like I know he wasn't there when Tsireya, Neteyam and others went to the Cove of Ancestors but I don't remember him being there or not when Kiri was brought in and healed. But yea i decided to include him just because and I never really wrote about his and Tawn's relationship but I assure you, thanks to Tsireya's crush on him and Tawn being the secret keeper of their innocent affair, their relationship is as good as bff.

Well hope you love this,

see ya tomorrow, hopefully.
