The Interview

Chapter 102

"It was great, she brought AJ with her and wow she is getting so big and it's only been a couple months."

"And how did seeing the baby make you feel." he asked

"Honey it was fine, I held her and it was amazing, she touched my face and smiled at me. It was like looking at sunshine, I loved holding my niece."

Boy was acting my ass off.

"Great honey, I'm happy you had a nice visit. Hey honey, hang on a sec." He said

I could hear him talking to someone.

"Yeah I'll be right in. Honey i have to go my next meeting is starting, if i don't get a chance to call tonight i love you and i hope you have a good night sleep." he said

"I love you to babe, I miss you."

"I miss you too, I'll call you soon." he said

After we hung up I thought about what I told Chris that I was ok with Carly being there with the baby but I honestly wasn't ok.

Honestly I didn't know how to feel.

What I did feel was empty and I didn't know how to fix it.

A few days later I was at the airport picking Chris up from DC.

I was waiting at the private airfield waiting inside for Chris's plane to land.

"Yeah mom, his plane should be here soon, yeah I'm excited to see him too, probably just a quiet night at home, ok I'll talk to you soon, love you too, ok bye bye." I said hanging up with mom.

"Excuse Mrs Evans. I'm sorry to disturb you, I just got word that Mr Evans flight will be landing in 5 minutes." A young man said to me.

"Thank you."

5 minutes this was a good time to make a call.

"Hello."

"Megan, hi it's Lisa."

"Lisa, hi honey how have you been? How was your vacation." she asked

"I'm good, the vacation was great. Listen, I was wondering if there was a time that we could maybe sit down and talk."

"Of course it just so happens I'll be in Boston in a couple days for a seminar. I'll set some time aside so we can chat. Is everything ok." she asked

"Frankly, no it's not, I feel like I'm struggling, I just need someone to talk to about things."

"Ok, let me see what i can do about the seminar I'll see if i can get someone else to cover for me." she said

"No Megan please don't rearrange your life for me, do your seminar."

"Are you 100% sure I can drop the seminar and come right to you." she asked

"No it's fine, yes I need to talk but I can wait it's fine."

"Alright, just remember the exercise I gave you, take some alone time to breathe and." she said but i cut her off.

"Grab a book and read a couple chapters, listen to music or just take a hot calming bath, yes I know those and i love them."

"Great. Ok so I'll call you when i get done with the seminar and I'll come right over to the house ok." Megan said

"Sounds good. I'll see you soon Megan."

"See ya soon."

Hanging up with Megan I felt a little better, I just hope talking to her helps me more.
