you could ask me

for the world

and i would find a way

to fold it up,

wrap it in gold,

place a big bow atop,

and gift it to you.

ask me to walk the earth

in search of you,

and i would do just that.

my feet would ache.

my shoes would grow tattered.

yet the journey would be

entirely worth it.

ask me to dance.

and i would gladly

put on a little show

all for your enjoyment.

twirling in the palm of your hand,

i would be your tiny dancer.

i would do what you ask of me.

i am wrapped around your fingertip.

can't you see?

i would do anything.

anything

to keep you.

and to call you mine.

you could ask me anything

and i would find a way;

to give you what you want

and what you need.
