Louis grabs Harry's hand and gives it a squeeze. "This place is never leaving, Harold. You're welcome back whenever you need to get away. I'll be here when you decide to step foot here again." He wipes Harry's tears away. "I'll never let you go."

Harry crushes Louis into a hug, crying into his shoulder. "I'm going to miss you so much, Lou."

Louis' cheek squishes against Harry's and he tightly squeezes his eyes shut. "I'll miss you too, but I'm only a phone call away, darling."

Harry pulls back, brushing his hair from his face and sniffs. "I'll call as much as I can, baby. After every show, I'll be there," he promises with a sharp nod.

Louis pecks Harry on the cheek. "Come on, I promised David you'd be there in five minutes or else he's going to let you answer to Jeff."

Harry groans and stands. "Fine," he huffs, eyes looking a little lost.

They clamber back into the golf cart and Louis drives them back to the houses. He steps out, smiles at David when his eyes land on Harry.

"Told you I'd get him back. You need to keep him on a tight lead if you continue losing him like that. Train him better," Louis sasses as if Harry is a dog and Harry hits him playfully on the chest. "I really don't want to watch you go."

Harry smiles in understanding, pecks Louis on the lips. Louis wants to hide with the way David is there watching, thinking Harry will get into trouble. But with the bored expression on David's face, Louis figures that maybe he knows Harry's secret.

Louis waves and steps away, once again going back upstairs. He can hear the footsteps crunching along the stones outside from where Harry is going back into the house to retrieve his things.

Louis' leg jiggles from where he sits on the end of the bed, Clifford inching closer until his head lays in Louis' lap. Louis gives Cliff a pat on the head. His eyes gazes over at his guitar case.

He can't surely let Harry go with nothing to remember him by, right?

He's already stolen one of Harry's shirts without him knowing so he can always have a piece of him there with him. And as far as Louis knows, Harry is being flown to his next concert, without stopping home first. What happens if he hasn't got his guitar?

He chews on his lip, contemplating. He can't let him leave just like that, right?

He quickly stands, Clifford jumping off the bed with him. He scoops his guitar case up and runs out the house with Clifford hot on his heel.

Harry is just slamming the boot closed and going to step into the running car when Louis rounds the corner.

"Harry, wait!" Louis calls.

Harry stops half way into the car. He steps out . "One moment, David."

David checks his watch and grunts, slamming his hands in distress on the steering wheel.

Clifford bombards over to Harry and jumps up at him, licking his face as if he understands that this is the last goodbye.

"You weren't going to leave without saying goodbye to Cliff, were you?" Louis questions.

Harry fusses over the dog, giving him a kiss on his nose. "Of course not. He's the best part of this place."

Louis smiles. He holds out his guitar. "Here."

Harry grabs it. "What's this for?"

Louis raises a shoulder, rubs the back of his neck. "So you don't forget me? And also because it's only going to gather dust if it stays behind. Give it a purpose I never seemed to manage to give it, please."

Harry smiles. "I promise it'll be used frequently. Thanks, Lou." He places it in the back seat.

Louis straightens. Despite himself saying he wouldn't want to watch Harry go, he can't seem to move away far enough to not watch him go. It's like a magnet, pulling both sides back together again.

"Well then, stalker, I guess I'll see you around."

Harry gives Louis a pointed look at the nickname. "Guess we will, little one. See you around."

Louis holds the door open for Harry and he climbs in the back. He closes the door and the window rolls down from when Harry presses the button. Harry quickly grabs Louis' hand, pressing a lingering kiss to his knuckles.

"Can we go now?" David pleads.

"Yeah, Daddy, we can go," Harry mutters.

Louis quirks a brow at the nickname. "I thought I was your daddy."

Harry turns pink. "He's my father on the road. The one that keeps me in check. You, Lou, will always be Daddy."

"Right, that's it, I'm driving away now. Nice to meet you, Lou." David puts the car in gear and it starts slowly moving forward.

Harry holds onto Louis' hand until he can't no more with the way the window stops. His hands slip easily from Louis' and he's waving toward him until they round the corners and disappear up the driveway that Louis cannot see no more from where he stands.

"I love you," Louis whispers under his breath, feeling the tears threatening again.

He turns around and leaves to go back into the house, feeling very much empty, as if his heart has been ripped from his chest and has disappeared into thin air, never to be seen again.
