Y/n  Y/l/n report to Dr. Westphalen in observation lab...

My head jolted up in a panic, I must've fallen asleep trying to set up all of my records in my computer. I wonder why Dr. Westphalen wants to see me? I grab a notepad and start to wander around the halls.

Once I find the lab I knock on the seemingly vacuum sealed door and wait. When the door cranks open I see Dr. Westphalen. I salute her before she could even say hello.

"There is no need for all that," Westphalen said with a wide grin, motioning for me to come inside. "Come in! Have a look around! Oh and I can take that off your hands, there will be no need for notes in here."

Walking in was like entering a whole new nerdy world. I was looking around with my mouth agape, I had never seen anything like this before... then I saw huge tank in the middle of the floor.

"Woah whats this," I say, walking over to the water still too far away to see inside. But I stop in my tracks when I hear a loud robotic voice coming from the speakers above me.

"Y-y/n?" I look around and laugh in confusion.

"Ha😅 what was that about?" I turn and ask Dr. Westphalen.

"This is Darwin," I hear Lucas from the side of the room. His comment was extremely unenthusiastic and he didn't even look up to speak. He seemed to be working on something that looked like a yellow telephone.

"So you made like a robot or something? Why does it know my name," I ask, genuinely so confused, still walking towards the tank and Lucas's contraption. "What's that?"

"That doesn't matter, also wdym robot?Darwin isn't a robot!" He spoke now looking up to see me.

I put my hands on the side of the tank leaning over it looking at Lucas. Once he looks up at me I turn away and make eye contact with the beast we've been talking about the entire time.

I take a few steps back my face frozen in shock. I bump into something behind me not processing any of my surroundings. I turn and start to sob. I threw my arms around the person I bumped into, put my head over her shoulder and started to scream through the tears.
