"We made you breakfast," Jay said as he set the plate down and made sure their daughter got onto the bed without falling.

"Waffles?" Hailey asked, smiling as the smell of her favorite breakfast filled the air.

"Yes ma'am," he nodded, helping her sit up before taking the plate off her nightstand and handing it over to her.

"Did Kam help you?" She asked as she kissed Kamryn's head, who had cuddled up to her mom again.

"Of course, she did, huh baby?"

"Me do it!" Kamryn grinned, looking over at Jay before up at Hailey.

"You did it all by yourself?" she asked, smiling down at the child.

"I do it!" She insisted again, giggling as she stood up to jump on their bed.

"She helped a lot. Great assistant," Jay chuckled, sitting Kamryn on a towel with her own plate of pancakes.

"Yeah, you like helping mommy cook huh?"

"Yeah!" Kamryn clapped, waiting impatiently for Jay to finish cutting up her pancakes.

"Alright bugger, time to eat," Jay chuckled, giving her the baby fork before he got his own plate and started eating.

They watched cartoons for the time being as Kamryn was in the room but knew they could watch their usual TV shows when Kamryn went down for her nap.

"How's your head?" Jay asked, looking over at his wife again.

"Would you stop freaking out? You're acting like a mother hen," She chuckled, taking a bite of her waffles as Kamryn was glued to the TV.

"I just worry Hailey," he chuckled, knowing she'd get annoyed by him asking again.

"I know, but i'm okay," She promised, watching Kamryn as she finished her plate.

They played on the bed with baby dolls for a little bit and colored before both Kamryn and Hailey went to bed for a while. Hailey stayed in their room while Jay took Kamryn to her bedroom. Kamryn put up a little fight as Jay tried to get her down for her nap, screaming and crying until she fell asleep.

Jay soon came to the bedroom, ready for a nap himself as Kamryn had really put up a fight and he was now exhausted.

"She give you a run for your money?" Hailey asked, chuckling a little at how Jayy had flopped into their bed.

"I didn't realize our toddler was that strong...And could kick that hard," He mumbled into the pillow.

"She's a fighter, just hope she stays feisty as she grows up," She chuckled.

"I hope she calms down. I don't want a sassy kid," he mumbled into the pillow he'd let himself collapse on.

"She's partly you Jay, She's gonna be a little sassy," Hailey chuckled, both of them settling into the bed.

"I guess," he chuckled.

Both Hailey and Jay took an hour and a half nap while Kamryn did in her room. Jay was the first one to wake up to Kam starting to yell and cry for them as she wanted out of her crib.

"I got her," Jay mumbled, getting out of their warm and comfortable bed, "Daddy's coming Kam!"

"Dada!" Kamryn whined, jumping in her crib as Jay came into her room.

"Hey, no jumping baby. You ready to go play?" He asked, lifting her out of her crib and laying her on the changing table to change her diaper.

"Mama!" She whined, kicking her legs as Jay tried to change her diaper.

"Okay well let me change you and then we will go see mommy, okay?" Jay asked, getting the child to stay still for 2 seconds before he picked her up and took her to the bedroom.

"Mama!" She squealed at Hailey who was still half asleep.

"Hey baby," She mumbled, holding her arms out for her. Jay carefully set her down and let her snuggle in her mother's embrace, where her thumb was put right back in her mouth. "Someone just wanted some cuddles,"

"Looks like it," Jay chuckled.

Later on in the day, Kamryn and Hailey were playing in the living room while Jay worked on some of his cases in the other room. The 2 were having a tea party and hearing Kamryn's laugh was music to both parents' ears. She was always a happy little girl and their perfect one.

They decided to go get some dinner at their favorite mom-and-pop diner across town. Kamryn got her usual pancakes, shaped like mickey mouse ears. Hailey got her favorite waffles and Jay got his usual burger and fries.

"Dada ot!" Kamryn squealed, wanting to steal a tater tot off his plate.

"You want a tater tot?" He asked, looking at the little 2-year-old beside him.

"Peash!" She asked, signing please to him.

"Alright, since you're cute," he chuckled, taking one of the tater tots off his plate and feeding it to the little one.

"Ank ou!" She giggled, taking small bites of her pancakes after she'd finished eating the tater tot. "Wafa?"

"Here baby," Hailey nodded, feeding her a small bite of her waffle, "Good job baby,"

"Ank ou!"

"We definitely made a cute kid," Jay chuckled, ruffling Kamryn's little head of blonde hair.

"We did,"
