Sky P.O.V.
I stood in shock, staring at Cody.
"Oh crap. I'm sorry. I know that you probably have a boyfriend or something. Oh gosh I'm really sorry." Cody said, covering his face with his hands.
"No! I was just surprised. Not alot of people like me, or know I exist. I would love to go on a date with you." I said, grabbing Cody's hands and taking them off of his eyes.
"Really!? So... Tonight at 8?" He said, blushing profusely.
"Yeah! Sounds great! See ya then!" I said excitedly.
Cody left and ran back to his house.
Oh crap! I need to find something to wear!
I ran up to my room and started sorting through my clothes. I found a knee-length blue dress. Not to fancy, which was a good thing. I put it on with some purple high-heels and purple clutch. I curled my long blonde hair, which took a really long time. I already had on mascara, so I didn't have to put on anymore makeup. I looked in my mirror, and surprisingly looked really good.
I heard a knock on the door, but it was only 7. I ran down to go open it. When I did, standing in the doorway was Cash. "Sky, I wanted to say tha- woah" He said, looking me up and down.
"Do I look ok?" I said, wondering if he said woah because something was wrong.
"You look, amazing." He said.
Cash P.O.V
"You look, amazing." I said, stuttering. "Where are you going?" I asked.
"Oh, well, Cody asked me out. I said yeah." Sky said, her blue eyes sparkling.
Wait. She has a date?
I came here to ask her out, too. Guess Cody beat me to it. And right after I broke up with Claire.
"Well, you look great." I said, forcing to hold back tears.
"Thanks. See you at school?" She said.
"Yeah. Later." I said, exiting her home.
I couldn't stop the tears.
Sky P.O.V.
That was weird. I thought to myself.
I turned to see that it was 8:00. Perfect timing, too, because just then, Cody opened the door.
"Wow. You look great." He said to me.
"Not to bad, yourself." I replied, smiling. "What are the plans for this evening?" I asked.
"Well, I was thinking we could walk around the town, and maybe out to the beach." He said, shyly.
"Sounds great! Let's go!" I said.
He grabbed my hand and we walked into town. It was getting dark, and everything was starting glow with street lights.
"This is really pretty." I said, admiring the lights.
"Not as pretty as you." He said, putting his arm around my shoulder.
After we walked through town, we headed down to the beach.
"This was really fun." I said, sticking my toes in the sand.
"Yeah. We should do this again." He said.
"Well, it's getting pretty dark. I think I should head home." I said.
"Alright. Let's go."
Cody held my hand and we walked back to our street.
"Well, goodnight." I said.
"Yeah. See you around." He said, and pecked me on the cheeck.
I ran up into my room and flopped onto my bed. That was awesome.
But for some reason, I had trouble falling asleep. I couldn't get Cash out of my head.
