♤Beginnings: Part 2♤

Start from the beginning

Y/N: I don't understand why you must do this. If there is always light there will always be darkness to arise. Along with light. What is the point of this Vaatu?

She questioned the dark spirit as she reached her hand to it and saw that he purred which peaked her interest. It changed back to its original color but soon went back to dark and flew away.

Wan: Y/N! Help me!

Y/N turned her attention to Wan seeing he was being attacked by the dark spirits.

Vaatu: Why bother helping if it's going to continue the same with me turning more dark spirits I see?

Y/N groaned at him seeing he counter-acted with her question. She assisted Wan but soon Raava came and helped lightly.

Y/N: You're getting smaller light spirit.

Raava: I am Raava and I am. The more darkness rises the less light there will be.

Y/N looks down into the pouch as she hears how Wan explains that he and her will help get balance back to normal.

Wan: Great lion turtle, we ask that you grant us the power of air so that we can defeat Vaatu before it's too late.

Air Lion Turtle: You already carry the power of fire. No human or humans has ever held two elements at the same time.

Y/N: We are no ordinary humans Great Lion Turtle. We can do it.

Y/N gave a smile to Wan as he returned the smile.

Air Lion Turtle: Hmm, perhaps. But to do so, Raava must hold the power for you until you master it.

Raava: Ancient one, why would I do that for a human? Especially one who's caused so much trouble?

Y/N: Raava please. I understand that Wan cause this much distress on you but I assure you that he will fix everything again.

Raava looked into her eyes seeing the determination in her but she also couldn't help but sense a dark feeling in her.

Raava: You may be right. Very well. I will help you to master the power of air.

Y/N: So what's this harmonic convergence?

Wan: Yeah, Vaatu mentioned it.

Raava: Harmonic Convergence. That is when Vaatu and I must battle for the fate of the world.

Y/N hummed as she still had her arms wrapped around Wan and soon placed her head on his back making him stiff but calm. Raava smiled mentally at this but the feeling keeps eating her about the girl.

Wan: Umm, how much time do we have?

Raava: About a year in your time.

Wan: Then we better start training.

Both Wan and Y/N were firebending when Wan decided that he should airbend this time.

Wan: Ready to do this Y/N?

Y/N: I'm not going to but I will follow the techniques.

Wan nodded as he and Raava talked for a good while until Raava entered his body to change his element. Y/N watched as they talked and practiced with Wan when he used his air bending.

Y/N: Say... if we– Wan were to help you Raava shouldn't he start visiting more lion turtles?

Wan turned his head to Y/N who just smiled at him as she sat down.

Wan: She's right. We got to visit more.

Soon Wan was given the element of water. Y/N was amazed at the scene seeing the man get a new element and bend it.

Wan: Why is there so much conflict between humans and spirits in the first place?

Wan voiced-over as he bends the element of water.

Raava: This physical world is where humans come from. Spirits come from another realm. At the north and south poles, the two realms intersect. Over time, more and more spirits have drifted into this world.

Soon he was given the element of earth from the lion turtle of earth.

Raava: Humans have been forced apart, settling on the lion turtles who protect them and losing touch with each other.

Raava continued as she and Y/N watched him waterbend the element of water. Y/N sneaked off as she went to a small part of the woods and let Vaatu out.

Just as Raava entered and passed Wan's body, he did the same. However, every time he entered and left it always felt like something was entering her body but couldn't explain.

Y/N: I never thought bending other elements would feel this amazing. As much as you are the spirit of darkness and chaos– why do I feel like we are connected.

Vaatu: That is for you to decide about Y/N. What you think I am to you is what you think you are to me.

Y/N nodded her head as she played with the elements til a dark spirit appeared. It went near her like a regular animal and rubbed its head to her leg. She couldn't help but smile but it soon faded.

Y/N: I wonder how Lerio is. I have never been this long away from him.

Vaatu: Who is he?

Y/N: My brother... he's with the other spirits and they healed him because of incurable disease. I don't want him to... leave me...

Vaatu watched her emotions become more negative and feed not only him but the spirit.

Y/N: Is it wrong to say that I know he won't live long. I want to live but—

Vaatu: He won't. Life doesn't always end well. It is not if you speak the truth that will come.

Wan: Y/N where are you? We have to go, something's wrong.

Y/N let out a sigh as stepped away from the spirit. She opened the pouch indicating for him to enter. He did as she asked.

Y/N: I guess you're not wrong. For someone who is the spirit of dark and chaos you really help Vaatu.

Vaatu: Don't get mushy. I don't associate with human emotions.

Y/N laughed as she followed Wan and Raava.

Y/N: You already did...
