I ran as fast as I could to my step mothers room from were she called me. I didn't want to keep her waiting.
"Yes mother!" I bowed down to her feet.
"Turn around" I did as she told, scared while closing the door.
"Pull down your kimono"
I pulled down the back part of my kimono exposing my back. She whipped me until I bleed. That's how I've gotten these scars.
"Get out" she yelled
I got up with tears in my eyes and left to the kitchen to prepare dinner.
I had gotten an idea on the way to the kitchen. I should leave this place with my brother tonight.
I acted normal so they wouldn't notice any difference in me.
I placed the food on the table and held my baby brother close as all of them gathered by the table.
"You look ugly y/n" the younger brother said.
"...."
"Leave her alone!!" The older sister said. She would always defend me.
"Shut the f**k up sister. Why do you always defend this freak?"
"Watch your mouth." The mother said
"Ugh okay"
"..." Just a few more minutes.

Dinner was finally over. I cleaned up and prepared for my escape.
I went to my room like I was told and pack very few stuff along with some food for my infant brother.
"I promise that I'll give you a better life Akihiro." I smile down at my brother. I covered up by brother to keep him warm. Then I finally escaped from my room out the window.
"Y/n what are you doing?" The older sister said.
Shocked I stood still.
"...Nothing!" I said not wanting her to know.
"No it okay I already know. Here!" She walked towards me and gave me food.
I look down shocked. Tears ran down my face. Out of fear mostly because if she had hated me also I probably would had no chance of escape.
I looked down at her hands. She had prepared some onigiri for me.
"Thank you so much Miko" I said
I gave her a hug.
"Stay safe and find happiness alright!" She said with a smile.
"Yes thank you!" I smile. And with that, it was the end of my suffering. I stayed here for fifteen years now it's finally over.

I walked out to exit of this ally way and into this world unprepared. I knew nothing besides what the house taught me. A town filled with light of many colors. It seemed to be a start of my happiness.
