David flicked the lock across, fighting with chains and bolts as he slammed the door. He stumbled back and hit the floor, barely having time to push himself back to the furthest corner of the room and hold his breath. The handle shook, then rattled repeatedly. The blockage was rammed and shifted under the weight of his assailant just outside. The knocking and banging of fists on wood fought to reach him until a hand burst through a splintered crack. Blood from Kai's bruised knuckles streamed down the handle as he grabbed it through the door, peeking across the room with a flash of white teeth. His laughter shook through David's body and stomach, the colour pouring away from his face. A pounding shook his head. Kai tore the door from its hinges with superhuman strength before sending it crashing against the nearby wall. David whipped his head in its direction before jolting to Kai's smirk.
"You're a fucking tease David Keren."
