Gordon has been teased by Thomas when he first came to Sodor. Gordon has been scared ever since that something would happen to him. So to make sure that doesn't happen, he wakes up very early and looks at the beautiful sun rising. He would continue doing this until one day, Thomas had a nightmare of his brother Timothy so he woke up early and saw Gordon looking outside. Thomas would then scare Gordon. Gordon continued to do these things like looking in the stars or the sun rising sometime.
