Flames spiraled around my body as I fell, swirling like a deep sea wave. I landed with a loud crash. Pain arced around my whole being as I lay still, panting. My vision clouded in a red haze as I gasped for air. The world spun in endless circles, twirling like a ribbon in the wind. I saw curious faces look over me, their faces gruesome and covered in gore. One looked... odd. He looked like a lobster, oddly fish-like and in salmon red hues of color.
"Who's this, Judes?" The lobster guy asked his accomplice.
"Dunno. Looks like an angel, though. Think they got any money?" Judes snorted distastefully.
Judes reached down by my hip and I instinctively kicked out, hitting him squarely in the face with a heeled boot. I struggled to get away, scrabbling at the burned asphalt. I leaped up and sprinted, despite my torn-down body. I spread my wings and somehow managed to achieve flight. I soared, hearing the angry noises of my attackers following close behind. I scanned the ground, desperately looking for a place to hide. I spotted a shady spot, hopefully which was not taken by a demon. I flapped harder, outracing my chasers. I landed not very gracefully, falling flat on my face. Several chittering laughs echoed around me at my ungraceful landing. I looked at the four demons near my landing place. I tucked my wings in protectively, trying to protect my remaining strands of pride.
"Look at 'er!" A voice said, extending a shadowy arm to point at me.
"What about me?" I asked curiously. "I need help, even if I can't remember my own real name."
"What?" The shadowy one yelped.
"Huh?" Another voice said, confused.
"Lucky bitch." A deep voice said, envious.
"Please help me. I don't know why I'm here, and why I fell from the sky in a ball of fire." I pleaded.
"Pfft, look Flappy," The deep voice addressed me. " I don't know what in Satan's unholy fucking name you did to get down here or why you may or may not have been that ungraceful ball of fire in the sky a few minutes ago, but welcome to Hell. You did something bad and God didn't like you so he dumped you down here, away from those damn fucking cuntbags he calls angels! If I were you, I would immediately get rid of that burnt halo-lookin' thing on your head."
"Do you have a mirror I may borrow to see it?" I politely asked.
Loud shuffling of items sounded and a bottle of lube with a used condom flew out by my feet. I carefully nudged those away with a boot. A very cracked mirror slid by my feet and I carefully picked it up. I gazed at my reflection with horror. I looked like a mix of a cheetah and a bird, fur covering every inch of my body, with leopard-like spots spotting my body. My fur was snowy white, the spots red in the middle with a deep black outlining. One of my eyes was patched out, although I could see perfectly well. Like the black shadow demon said, a faintly glowing black crossed out halo adorned my head, along with my one blue eye. Huge fluffy ears stood nervously by the halo. I could see as well that I had a tail, a puffy and cute tail, ringed with the same red and black as my spots. My wings, a gradient of grey and lavender stripes seemed stand-offish against my red and black aesthetic I had going on.
The deep voiced shadow demon took some pity on my horror. "Go to the Happy- Hazbin Hotel before morning." They advised. "Don't go out on the rest of the day- and use this- Flappy."
A shadowy hand pointed towards a tall hotel, lights on the top announcing 'Hazbin Hotel'. A small pouch was thrown at my feet. I picked it up cautiously and saw a cell phone, some money, and a small baggie of drugs inside.
"Thank you." I said graciously. "Although I will not use this."
I put back the drugs in their den- like area. A greedy hand swooped and grabbed it. "Good luck, Flappy. Don't forget to think of a real name to call yourself when you go inside."
I opened my wings, the light shimmering through the white, making them glitter and shimmer in the light. Small oohs and ahhs echoed behind me and I carefully reached on my wing and pulled a single glimmery feather out and put it by the den. I leaped into the air and let the wind guide me towards the hotel.
(Tell me what you think of the storyline so far! I will be providing some art soon so you can see what Fable actually looks like!)
