Red Rising is a 2014 dystopian science fiction novel by American author Pierce Brown, and the first book and eponym of a series. The novel, set in the future on Mars, follows lowborn miner Darrow as he infiltrates the ranks of the elite Golds. Red Rising has received generally positive reviews.

( side note. ) Every February, Bookstores do this thing called Blind Date With A Book and so I went to my local bookstore to try one. It would usually say a quote from the book && genre. Then it's up to you if you want to buy it or not, then you unwrap it bcs the book is usually wrapped. So I got this one && it's definitely my taste. I'll let y'all know how the series goes.
