The next day, Patrick showed up at the hotel alone.
He tried to perform alone, but it didn't feel the same without Nigel.
Mr DeFranko came upstairs for inspection when he saw that only one of his performers was there.
"Patrick! Where's your pal? I thought a day off would help" he said.
"He kept me awake all last night because he couldn't figure out how to sleep. I couldn't make him come in in this state" said Patrick.
"Well, peoples are asking where he is. Ya gotta get him back" said Mr DeFranko.
"But, sir, he's so stressed, I feel like my presence would remind him of what Preston did to him" said Patrick.
"Nonsense. Your presence never did nothing bad to him before. Now get him!" said Mr DeFranko.
"Yes sir!" said Patrick quickly.
He went back to the apartment building where Milt Barnhill was running around the lobby.
"Mr Barnhill? Are you alright?" said Patrick.
"Patrick! I'm so glad to see you! Nigel just tried to come to breakfast, but he's outta control! He can't do anything right and my lobby's a bigger mess than ever before" said Milt in a panicked tone.
"Oh dear..." Patrick whispered.
"Ya gotta do something about it before he trashes my entire building!" said Milt.
"I'll try, sir. But the very thought of it worries me" said Patrick.
