3 a.m in the morning, I check on the wall clock on the white painted wall with blue stripes. Curtains all around me and I'm sleeping on a bed which isn't even comfortable. It feels sultry and I'm sweating. The beeps of a pulse checking machine are constantly being heard in a feeble tone.

After noticing all of these, I felt one thing for sure, that I'm not home. It doesn't feel the same, besides the smell of a strong scented sanitizer. As I try to open my eyes more wide, I see my Mom praying in the corner seating on the sofa. My hand is injected to glucose drips. I then had a quick realisation that I am in an ICU ward and I was told that I had lost my consciousness in the school washroom yesterday, and a boy in a black hoodie and white jeans had saved my life by bringing me here.

'How did he know that I fainted?', 'Why does he care anyway?', 'Is he even allowed in the girls washroom?', A rapid round of questions crossed my mind, but there was only 1 thing that I kept on thinking for a long time,' Who is he?'.  Well he is intriguing. Without knowing me, how can he save me. I owe him a big time I guess.

The situation at the hospital was aberrant. I was barely able to breathe even with the oxygen mask fixed to my nose. I couldn't feel a single movement in my legs, So i was forced to sit on a wheel chair for the next few days.

As soon as Mom saw me open my eyes, she pulled me to a warm embrace and had tears of joy on her face. I hugged her even more, even though I had pain in my shoulders. My eyes filled with water, I knew I was gonna blast off with tears but I controlled.

The doc said I'd be home by today evening or after lunch if at all I feel better. After this incident I never noticed any change in me but there was a high increase in medicines that I was to consume.  There are maximum of 14 pills I take in a day, 3 on waking up, 3 after breakfast, 2 after an hour of breakfast, 3 after lunch and dinner. It feels like it has been forever since in I started taking pills. They taste disgusting of course. But only source of oxygen is not enough for my life.

This evening when I arrived at home, I felt so fresh. The aroma of rose scented candle tickled my nose. Grandma was in a huge surprise, she clasped me tightly in her arms filled with affection and welcomed me. This time when I returned, I had a new routine to follow up. Mainly practising Radiotherapy and Chemotherapy which means I had to pay a visit to the doctor everyday and use a new kind of inhaler .

I couldn't wait to go to school, mainly to find who that boy is and to attend an extra session after class with Miss Tinsley, the school counsellor. The session is always boring, but she used to always get me home baked butter cookies before we started, that is one of the major reason why I love to pay her a visit. And to be specific about, her cabin is amazing with an aesthetic touch. The pungent odour of Turkish vanilla scented candle, filled the air.
