"WAHHHH!!!"
Willow and Gus appeared soon after.
Hunter rushed to help them.

"Home sweet home!"
Gus cheered.

Hunter smiled at our friends, but his expression soon wiped away into nothing. He paced around the portal, waiting for others to come.

His steps became more and more anxious as his thoughts kept on wandering.

I touched the necklace he got me.
I wish there was something I could do...
To make him smile again...

"Hey, Y/n, let me help you with that."
Willow summoned some soft plant to wrap around my injury.
"It has healthy remedies and should help you to heal."

"Thank you,"
I smiled and slightly raised the now tattered matching wolf shirt so it won't get stuck under the plant.

Amity appeared and fell on her face.
"Ugh... not again..."

I felt well enough to approach and help her.
"Now we only have to wait for Luz and Camila."

"AAAAH!!"
Camila almost fell on Amity.
"WHAT THE- WHERE WAS I?!"

"We don't know, but at least we are all here. Welcome to the boiling Isles!"
Gus presented as she recovered.

"Wow..."
She looked at the orange forest.
"But where's Luz? I haven't seen her since we entered the portal..."

"WHAT?!"
Amity jumped.

"What's happening with the portal?"
Hunter pointed as it showed signs of fading.

"She isn't stuck there, is she?"
I worried.

"Luz!"
Amity reached forwards.
After a few seconds of silence as she searched, she managed to pull someone out. The portal disappeared.

"You were in there for so long, we- we thought you got stuck behind!
Are you… hurt anywhere?"

"I’m… I- I’m fine."
Luz recovered as Amity helped her up.

"I… saw something or… someone. But it was probably just in my head."
She told us and dismissed it.

"Any sign of… him?"

"Oh COME ON! It’s not like a swarm of ghosts will inexplicably appear if you say his name!"
Hunter suddenly snapped.

We were a bit shocked from his sudden shouting. He blinked a few times when our eyes met.

"AHEM. …I think. Anyway, if Belos WAS here, he’s long gone now."

"Well, he better stay out of our way. This mama’s HUNGRY FOR VENGANCE!"
Camila exclaimed, determined.

"Now THAT is a fight I’d watch!"
Gus chuckled.

Still cautious, we walked through the forest. Who knows what or who can pop up out of nowhere.

Hunter walked very fast, and I struggled to catch up with him. He always used to make sure I was by his side...
Well, I can't get mad at him. He isn't himself right now.

"Okay, everyone. Coast is clear. ...Hmm?"
Willow sneaked forwards, noticing something on the ground.

"Oh, hello, red grass! I’ve missed you!"
She laughed.
"I can’t talk for long, we’re on a mission to save the Boiling Isles."

Gus activated his illusion magic on the grass, making the grass interact with her.
"Willow’s back, hooray!"

Hunter paused and stared at them.
Perhaps this shade of red reminded him someone...
Until I managed to catch up to him, another thing caught his attention. A red bird, up in the trees.
