After the events of Superior, Spider-Man has be having an awful time. Nothing but a joke and threat to many, but one day he is killed in action by both heroes and villains.

After what happened with D'wolf, another situation was happening across the city involving mutants.
Wolverine
" Mutant children are gunned down and taken wherever they go. It's no longer safe to venture out to the cruel world for our survival. Bub was the one who brought those kids here to begin with, but due to him not being a mutant, most of the team won't welcome or cooperate with Pete. The school and his friends miss, heck, Jean and Hope almost went fully Phoenix force when he died. Luckily, one of his pupils had a sedative to put them to sleep. After the funeral, Phoenix left Jeans', Hopes', and Rachels' body and hasn't been seen since. The few weeks we were able to deal with common crooks turned to sh!t when they upgraded the following days. Spidey's villains even helped out in the mutant massacre. The Inhumans weren't doing so hot either, their people were killed and enslaved as well. Feeling that our time was up until 2 days ago. We received a distress call about a group of young mutants and Inhumans held captive. The X-men went to an abandoned warehouse on the docks. Once we arrived, me, Cyclops, and Colussus burst through the front door while the others sneaked in to find the kids. But what we didn't expect is to find the place empty, soon the kids got out of their hiding place and ran towards us. A scream from Kitty was heard and we all ran to her aid. Found her in a room apart from where the young were starting at the ceiling. We too looked up and saw a horrific image."

Xavier's Institute - 30 minutes after first encounter (Chapter 1)
Logan is sitting in the lounging area of the school thinking about what he just saw as he drinks. Other members of the X-men are there as well, petrified of the entire experience.
Storm: Where is Kitty at? *trying to break the tension*
Kurt: She hasn't left her room after the mission, not even to eat or wash up.
Rouge: Can't say I blame her, she walked into a room with crooks and Mrd men hanged and skinned alive.
Jean: I'm surprised the children weren't harmed and glad that they didn't see what monstrosity caused this.
Cyclops: Whoever did that has gone to far and that's coming from me.
Professor Xavier arrives
Xavier: Indeed, news even reached Magneto and the Brotherhood, he calls this man a Mutant Savior. This happened when Mystique got injured by a cop, when the officer reached to arrest her, she explained that the cop got tackled by an invisible man and saw eyes stare at her. Then it left taking the officer with it. But I believe what you and her had seen wasn't a mutant doing.
Logan: What makes you say that?
Xavier: For the past 2 days I used the cerebro to find our mysterious friend. Soon I found something.
Iceman: I'm afraid to ask about what you found.
Xavier: 2 things: The first is an unidentified signal somewhere in New York. The second is that I sensed a mental barrier, preventing me from entering this single mind.
