Ba-dum, Ba-dum, Ba-dum. A unusually tall man kept tapping on the polished counter impatiently, humming to himself. His blonde hair was slicked back neatly, shimmering in the light, his hair dripping wet. Ba-dum, Ba-dum, Ba-dum, he continued the steady tapping. Ba-dum, Ba-dum, Ba-dum, Ba-dum, Ba-dum, Ba-dum. A book was placed next to his unsteady hands. Steady footsteps sounded in the hallway, he heard plates rattling against each-other. "Master?" A timid voice called, a small knock sounded from outside the room. "Master? I'm sorry to bother, I brought you dinner" The tall man stared into the mirror maniacally, "The meeting..." his eyes were crazed in the reflection of the mirror. "Master??" the voice called again gently. He clenched his hand around the dust-red book and drew in a breath. "Toru? You brought me dinner I hear?" the man called, his voice sweet and relaxing. "Yes sir." "I'm coming" The mans hands caressed the book gently, and strutted out of the room.  "So Turo, what did you bring me?" the man said, he towered over the shy, timid boy. "W-Well Master Kio, I brought your favorite meal.." The boy placed soup garnished with bell peppers, tomatoes, and serchai flowers, next to it, some bread, and freshly cut mangoes and chiltras. Kio nodded gratefully to the boy, he reached for a few gold coins from his pocket, and gave it to the astonished boy. "T-Thank you!" he stuttered, to baffled to speak. "Off you go" Kio said. The boy nodded, and took the silver platter. Kio sighed, and went to the book again. "A new competition starts again"
