Vanessa's POV|

It was early in the morning when I woke up to a crashing noise. I assumed it was vanny so I didn't think anything of it till I felt a hand slap agented my face. I take the hand off my face and look to see vanny sound asleep.

• If Vanny was right there, where was that crashing sound coming from?

I get up and put on my slippers. Once I get on my slippers I head to where I heard the noise.

I see a figure in all black as they had just finished a Halloween costume to scare kids.

HEY! I shout out trying to figure out where It went.

I turn around and head into the kitchen grabbing a knife ready to stab what just came into the house. I wasn't going to let it hurt anyone.

I hear a faint voice from the living room but as soon as I turn to face it...

*BOOM*

Vanny's POV|

I woke up to a noise and that made me angry. I check my phone for the time. 7:30 AM

Ugh, I hate waking up this early. I say to myself while trying to get out of bed.

I roll out of bed, put on my bunny socks, and head down to the kitchen to grab something to eat.

As I head down to the kitchen, I see Vanessa on the floor.

Why are you on the floor silly? The bed is upstairs now on the ground.

A few minutes go by and I kick her lightly In the head. That's when I rolled her over and I see blood coming out of her stomach.

I sit there in shock trying to figure out what was going on. I snapped out of my shock and quickly ripped off my shirt and wrapped it around her stomach for the time being. Once I got it wrapped up I struggle to pick her up and drag her to the car only to quickly realize I left the keys inside.

I quickly lay her agented the car and run inside to grab the keys. I then see a shadowy figure dressed as if they had gotten out of a Halloween store.

I hear a sound of metal coming from them and I quickly realized it was the sound of a knife rubbing agent metal.

We stand there just staring at each other and right when I think it could be over they took a mild hit right to my head. Thank god I took some classes to be more flexible and leaned back avoiding the hit. I quickly get back up and kick this figure right in between the legs. A weak spot for whoever it was. I kick them to the ground grabbing a piece of duck tape and a zip tie while forcing them to the ground and tying their hands together.
I quickly jump up and grab their knife stabbing them in the same place Vanessa had been stabbed.
Dumbass trying to break into my house huh?

Without even thinking about my next move I run outside and put Vanessa inside the car and drive off to the hospital.
